The "Petite Royale" was then the real top of the range behind the inaccessible type 41 on a Royal chassis. The S versions equipped with a supercharger are already rare (18 examples produced) but this convertible sedan body is unique. It was made in 1929 by the Swiss coachbuilder Reinbolt & Christé in Basel. And the fabulous silver radiator cap (if it's not a copy), rather reserved for Royal 41 models, "Elephant Erect Playing" created by Rembrandt Bugatti in 1904 and cast by Valsuani, is the icing on the cake.
automobile bodied as a pillarless convertible sedan by Reinbolt & Christé Mathis in Basel (Switzerland) in 1931, one of the rare surviving models of the type 46 called "Petite Royale" with a compressed engine (18 S items produced) | |||||
