English: Brynymor was a steel full-rigged ship built in 1902 by A. McMillan, Dumbarton (yard No 386) for S. Goldberg & Sons, Swansea. 1904 sold to Martin Garlieb Amsinck, Hamburg, and was renamed Argo. 1906 sold to F. Laeisz, Hamburg, and was renamed Peiho. 1914 interned at Caleta Buena for the duration of the war and 1920 delivered to the Allied countries as war damage compensation. 1921 saold again to F. Laeisz, Hamburg. 1923 wrecked in a fog in the Straits of Le Maire under command of Captain Peter Kleist. The crew was able to reach the New Year Island north of Staten Island from where they were brought to Buenos Ayres in the Argentinian Government steam ship Guarda Nacional.
Dimensions: length × beam = 267.4 × 41.5 ft (81.5 × 12.6 m) and tonnage 2136 GRT. Rigged in Jubilee fashion, i.e. with nothing above double top and topgalant sails.[1][2]
