English: Brodland was a refrigerated cargo ship. Craig, Taylor & Co. of Stockton on Tees built her in 1891 as Highland Mary for the Highland Mary Steamship Co. Ltd. In 1901 she passed to Nelson Line (Liverpool) Ltd. In 1912 Blue Star Steamship Co Ltd acquired her through the one-ship company Brodland Steamship Co. Ltd., and renamed her Brodland. In 1913 she ran aground and was sold and broken up for scrap. Her anchor is still displayed outside the Lifeboat Station on Aberavon Beach. Her dimensions were:- 310’ length, 41.2’ beam, 17.8’ draught, 2,989 GRT and 1,949 NRT.
