English: Bitterley is a village and civil parish in Shropshire, England. According to the 2001 census it had a population of 802. The village is about four miles east of Ludlow. Bitterley is the location for Bitterley Court, the longtime seat of the Walcott family, who had previously sold their Walcot Hall to Robert Clive, known as Lord Clive of India. Nearby, to the east, is the small hamlet of Bedlam.
