English: Beatrix, later rechristened Harpoon, see Category:Harpoon (ship, 1891). Charles A. Prince and Dr. John Bryant's racing sloop was yacht designer Edward Burgess's natural evolution of the compromise sloop, the only centerboarder of new 1891 46-footers and the only real contender to the class champion Gloriana. In 1892, the Adams brothers (George Caspar and Charles Francis Adams) bought the Beatrix and rechristened her Harpoon.
