Media relating to the Confederate Submarine dredged out of Bayou St. John, New Orleans, some 10 years after the U.S. Civil War.

For generations it was identified as the Confederate Submarine Pioneer, until the 1990s when researchers found old drawings of the Pioneer, showing it not to be a match. It was apparently another Confederate experimental submarine for which there is no surviving period documentation.

It was on display at Spanish Fort, New Orleans, in the late 19th century then moved to the other side of the Bayou at Camp Nicholls in 1908, to Jackson Square in 1942, in the colonnade of the Presbytere 1957 - 1999 and then refurbished and on display at the Louisiana State Museum in Baton Rouge.
