English: Bandaneira was a four-masted iron barque built in 1885 by Russell & Co., Greenock (yard No 117) for P. Denniston & Co., Glasgow. She stranded and wrecked January 1901 on Heligoland on passage Iquique for Hamburg.
Her dimensions were: length × beam × depth: = 267.5 × 40.2 × 23.6 ft (81.5 × 12.2 × 7.1 m) and tonnage 1944 GRT and 1862 NRT. She was rigged with royal sails over single topgallant and double topsails.[1][2][3]
