Balázs Somlyai (Laterː Murad) (Nagybánya - ). Hungarian, captured at the battle of Mohály, at the age of 17 - by the turkish army. Murád alias Somlyai Balázs was the only hungarian-osman, turkish poet. He probably helped Mahmud Tercüman in translating "The History of the Hungarians (Tarih-i Üngürüs). After the death of Mahmud in Prague, Murad lost his job. To supply his family, he translated to latin the osman-turkish cronicle. Johannes Löwenklau (Joannes Leunclavius) wrote his Historiae Musulmanae Turcorum on the basis of Somlyais translation.
