History

Ancona was built in France and had a complete armour with spur of 3 meters at the bow and stern with falling curve. The armour stretched the entire length of the ship and 1.5 m. below the waterline and 2 meters above. She took part in the Battle of Lissa. She was decommissioned on August 30, 1903.
