The AGC pennant was used for ships designated as amphibious command ships, including the Appalachian-class (AGC-1 to 3 & AGC-5), the Ancon (AGC-4) and the Adirondack-class (AGC-15 to AGC-17). Amphibious command ships were redesignated LCC in 1969.
