Monument to the 44th Infantry Regiment by Jálics Ernő, detail with reliefs of wreath and sword. Hercules fighting with a lion. It commemorates the infantry regiment of soldiers from the cities of Somogy County, and Tolna County. 44th Infantry Regiment (k.u.k. Infanterieregiment Nr. 44) est. 1744 in Milan, Italy; it has a Hungarian District/Division. On the base,-planned by Tibor Szivessy,-are six plaque-reliefs with the names of the battles involved by this unit (and stationary places too??): between 1809-05-21 and 22 Aspern, Vienna; 1915-09-09 Krupiec, Pomerania; from 1915-04-07 to 30 Čeremha (Czeremha?? ); 1915-08-12 Šabac, Serbia; 1914-09-09 Horożanna Wielka, 1918-06-15 Montello, Lombardy. At the monument inaguration, the ceremonial speech was spoke by Archduke Joseph August of Austria. At the same time, an air show was held at Taszar airport (nearby to Kaposvár), and the audience could see the honorary flight of the plane (named as) "Justice to Hungary", which was gifted by the Italian Government. - Színház (Theatre) Park, Rákóczi Square, Downtown, Kaposvár, Somogy County, Hungary

A 44-es gyalogezred emlékműve (Felállítás 1932. szeptember 4., Jálics Ernő). A somogyi, a tolnai katonákból álló ezrednek állít emléket. Az emlékmű az oroszlánnal küzdő Herkulest ábrázolja. A talapzaton,-Szivessy Tibor műépítész tervezte,-domborműves emléktáblák csatahelyek/ütközetek/állomáshelyek neveivel és időpontjaival. Felirat a talapzaton: A hadsereg főparancsnokság 1916 junius 19-iki sajtóközleménye. Lopusznotól északkeletre az ellenség nagy túlerővel támadta állásainkat. A bevált kaposvári 44-es gyalogezred kitünő tüzérségi támogatás mellett a tartalékok igénybevétele nélkül verte vissza a kilenc rajvonal mélységben támadó rohamoszlopokat.
