It doesn't get better than that. The Yamaha SG is one of the best (if not the best) electric guitar ever created, Yamaha had the guts to improve an original American design, adding the original features of the most advanced Japanese technology, the legendary sustain and the killer look that Santana needed in the 70's for his golden era of guitar-god status. The SG-1000 is quite similar to the 2000, a little less of MOP and a plain top, but same construction, sound, pickups and weight. This one is just above perfection, weights about 4.1 kgs but still possible to be played on stage with no major harm on your back. All original... Soon to be refretted for me to be able to play it live. Just got the guitar from a trade and I feel I need more of those. Can't get enough Yamahas!!! :)
