Peter Welleman (born October 7,1969) is a Dutch illustrator, primarily of magazines and books for young audiences. His favorite subject is technology, explained in a simple but colorful way, sometimes in the form of a cutaway.

In 1989 Welleman began studing Industrial Design and Engineering at the Delft University of Technology, the Netherlands. After graduation and working for several companies as an engineer Peter Welleman returned to his true passion: creating illustrations en cartoons. These are some of the magazines that frequently publish Peter Welleman's work: De Ingenieur (Veen Magazines BV), Hurriyet (Turkish Newpaper), Adfo Web Magazine (Kluwer BV), Answer (Symbiose Press Dept), Sign+ (Sign branch organisation), Agrio Magazine, VSN Magazine, Gay&Night Magazine, Tennis&Coach (FNV Sport), Probiblio, Financials Only.

Peter Welleman also created a long series of background illustrations for the web game Club_Penguin until it was purchased by The Walt Disney Company in August 2007
