Victor zu Wied, Wilhelm Friedrich Adolph Hermann Victor, Prinz zu Wied, born 7 December 1877 in Neuwied, deceased 1 March 1946 in Moosburg an der Isar, was a german diplomat and a member of the german House of Wied from Rheinland-Pfalz.
Family background and ancestry
[edit]Victor zu Wied was the son of the general and politician William, Prince of Wied (1845-1907) and his wife, princess Princess Marie of the Netherlands (1841-1910). An older brother of his Wilhelm, Prince of Albania (1876-1945), who for a short time was the head of state of Albania.[1] Victor's aunt Elisabeth of Wied was queen of Romania.
