The Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of Saint John of Jerusalem is a royal order of chivalry officially recognized in 1888 by Queen Victoria. The Order continues to the present in the United Kingdom, the Commonwealth of Nations, and the United States of America. Since this is a royal order it is not officially part of the British honours system, but it is often associated with it.
