Hi.
You added "fair use" to this image. could you please translate to me, what the template on http://he.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D7%AA%D7%9E%D7%95%D7%A0%D7%94:Beilin_yosef.jpg said?
Thank you. Fred Chess 20:55, 8 September 2006 (UTC)
- "This picture originated from the Knesset website. We assume that it can be used in, and only in, the article about the specific Member of the Parliament who appears in the picture, under the terms of Fair Use." Yellow up 21:05, 8 September 2006 (UTC)
- Thank you. / Fred Chess 06:48, 9 September 2006 (UTC)
Re. Justin's images
[edit]The reason for the "Original image at..." is to preserve the history of the imagery (admins can always view it and verify). Once they have all been replaced then we can orphan the ones with POV names and delete them :)--Nilfanion 18:54, 9 September 2006 (UTC)
- I see, but the problem is that when it says "originally uploaded as Palestine occupationX.jpg", an occasional visitor (such as I) can still find it a bit offensive, obviously much less than the previous situation. How about, for example, "originally picture #X.jpg"? I'm sure the admins can find the trace to Palestine occupation. Yellow up 18:56, 9 September 2006 (UTC)
- Sorry for interferring, but IMHO it is important to link back to the image for verification. A solution everyone might accept is to write "Original image was uploaded under a different title". / Fred Chess 19:01, 9 September 2006 (UTC)
- That works fine; it gives a link back to the original image (which is important) and makes the actual images description NPOV...--Nilfanion 19:18, 9 September 2006 (UTC)

Personal attacks
[edit]A personal attack [1] of yours has been reported. Please try to keep discussions ontopic and civil. Although we do not have a formal NPA policy, but that should not be a reason to make them. Hoping not to say this again, -- Bryan (talk to me) 19:20, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
Your account will be renamed
[edit]Hello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Yellow up. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Yellow up~commonswiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell
