The page (file, category) should be put in the most specific category/categories that fit(s) the page (not directly to its parent categories).

- I don't think so. As I said in the edit summary, classification of mode I, mode II, and mode III cracks is one of the most fundamental ideas to establish fracture mechanics. The figures are to illustrate it. The word of "crack" is a general term; it does not always means the theoretical crack that can be treated in the discipline of fracture mechanics.
