Half life 2 screenshots

[edit]

Please stop uploading half-life 2 screenshots. They are copyrighted and are thus not premitted on the commons. Thanks. MinuteElectron 22:45, 14 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I am in contact with Valve Software. They will send a licencing-email after I uploaded all pictures. --Wladi001 22:50, 14 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Once you have recieved an e-mail please forward it to permissions-commons@wikimedia.org - thanks. MinuteElectron 22:51, 14 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Of course. I already have three images licenced by them on the german wikipedia, eg. de:Bild:STEAM haupt.png

It's really hard to believe the owners of Half-Life would release this content under a free license. I suggest holding off until we receive the permission. →Rocket°°° 00:19, 15 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Would it work if Valve send a licence for pictures I didn't already upload? So that I can upload them without fear that they will be deleted? --Wladi001 06:36, 15 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, of course! That's how it works. And if Valve did that, that would be awesome. →Rocket°°° 08:17, 15 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
OK, I will try that way. They will reference in their email to pictures that aren't uploaded yet and should have a different filename after uploading. Please don't delete the file already uploaded because, because of the weekend, it may take them some time to send the email. --Wladi001 13:17, 15 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sad to announce that Valve won't licence them, so all pictures (except of course the steam ones) should be deleted. --Wladi001 17:57, 15 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

(Oops, I forgot to watch this page.) Well, it was worth try. :| Cheers, - Rocket000 21:42, 23 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
