I have updated the article “Tatari Oguz Effendi” in accordance with my new findings in Basel. I conducted a research on house symbols and coat of arms in Basel in 2010 and accidentally came upon the information about Tatari Oguz Effendi in an old book by F. A. Stocker, which I found in Basel-City Archive. I wrote a book titled “Tatarî Oğuz Effendi in Basel – Reminiscences of a Journalist”. It covers both of my researches –symbols and T. O. Effendi– and explains the shift in my research. My first public reading will take place this coming Saturday in Basel in the Ausstellungsraum Klingental. Besides the book, the audience will find the chance to taste the chocolate “The Lore” that is named in regard to Tatarî Oğuz Effendi’s wisdom and persistence in pursuing a dream.
