Hey you WeatherBot! What do you think about the summer? Is it going to be hot? // Solkoll 00:23, 3 Apr 2005 (UTC)
- Ask me in late August :)
- Ok, but I guess I will know already then =) // Solkoll 10:41, 13 July 2005 (UTC)
Better categorization
[edit]I was wondering if it will be possible, now or ever, to categorize your weather maps by date? I posted my idea on Commons:Village_pump#Weather_maps_by_date because I saw how incredibly cumbersome Category:Weather maps has become. Does it seem viable to split things up like that? I know since this is all done by a bot it would have be better to fix it with the bot rather than have people have to change it all... thanks. Grenavitar 00:09, 16 May 2005 (UTC)
- One could also categorize weather maps by location. Category:Weather maps of Australia would be a subcat of Category:Weather maps and of Category:Maps of Australia, for example. Dbenbenn 13:50, 19 May 2005 (UTC)
- I second that. A category with tens of thousands of weather maps is useless. Thuresson 05:29, 25 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Not the right way

Ass pus
[edit]Why do the images say "temperatures of ass pus" in cities across the world? This seems like unnecessary obscenity, inaccuracy, and generally suggests that no one even looks at these images... Please fix them all. Justinc 11:00, 25 August 2005 (UTC)
- Ah I see there is an ass puss vandal. However these pages are being uploaded like this, not vandalised after, so this should be fixable. Justinc 11:05, 25 August 2005 (UTC)
- Which images are you talking about? dbenbenn | talk 12:30, 25 August 2005 (UTC)
- its ok, it was vandalism on the Template:WeatherMapCredit19 and I didnt realise it was all templated - fixed now... Justinc 02:04, 1 September 2005 (UTC)

Bot
[edit]Hallo
There is a template for bots for using it in the babelbox. you only need to add
{{babel-1|bot}}
to the userpage of your bot. With greetings. Augiasstallputzer 14:07, 18 September 2006 (UTC)
Your account will be renamed
[edit]Hello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called WeatherBot. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name WeatherBot~commonswiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell
