I have blocked you for 6 hours because you continue to upload images with incomplete license info after being told how to do it right several times. To save you and others a lot of work in the future, please read Commons:Licensing and Commons:Criteria for inclusion carefully. Please also read the GFDL, so you know what it required. Uploading images under the GFDL in the way you are doing it is a violation of that license.

I'm sorry about being harsh to a good willed newcommer, but i can't just stand by while you are uploading dozens and dozens of images in this style. Please get to know the requirements better, and ask at the Commons:Village pump if you have questions. I'll also be there to answer questions, if you are not too mad at me now. Tienes que dar la licencia de las imagenes! Tu dices que estan todas en GFDL o licencias libres, pero no dais la licencia ! No es bueno porque tu imagenes van a estar borradas. Puedes escoger la licencia cuando las cargas. Tienes tambien que dar las informaciones siguientes:

1. Autor
2. La persona que le ha cargado sobre la wikipedia inglesa
3. el link a la imagen sobre la wikipedia inglesa [[:en:Image:Nombre de la imagen]]
4. de donde vienen las imagenes (source)
5. la categoria

Por favor, antes de cargar mas imagenes, tienes que dar las informaciones de las que has cargado. Puedes encontrar a todos las "licencias" aqui : Commons:Senyals de drets d'autor. Necesito tu ayuda. Las imagenes que he subido estan en la wikipedia (casi todas), y en casi todas me decía que eran Public Domain, salvo algunas (que lo he puesto) que eran de la Biblioteca Nacional de USA y por tanto de libre distribución. Estoy intentando cargar las fotos ya existentes en la wikipedia en la sección en catalán (son fotos que ya están), no entiendo porque hay tantos problemas, si en la gran mayoría dicen que son de dominio público. Por cierto, las banderas tienen copyright, o también son de dominio público ? Sabes de alguna webpage donde pueda cargar algunas y añadirlas. Soy un gran defensor del derecho a la difusión de la cultura, pero tampoco quiero tener problemas con los propietarios del copyright, ni quiero que borren todo el trabajo que he hecho . Tampoco entiendo porque tengo que cargar otra vez imágenes que ya están en la wikipedia. Dame una respuesta, por favor

El problema esta que no pongas il "tag" Public Domain". Tu DEBES poner {{pd}} o altro "tag" de licencia cuando las subes. Y toda la información que ti pedí. Ver por ejemplo la fotografía siguiente : Image:Portrait elisha gray.jpg, que tomé de la Wikipedia inglesa. Ho puesto:

• La "source" (fuente?)
• El wikipediano que la ha subido en la wp inglesa, e cuando
• la licencia.

Si no haces todo eso, no se puede verificar que estas imagenes estan REALMENTE public domain, porque por ejemplo podrias subir todas las imagenes que quieres y decir que estan public domain, tambien cuando no estan eso.Si tu no lo haces, y no se va a hacer solo. No puedo ayudarti si no me digas DONDE puedo encontrar a estas imagenes para dirte lo que debes hacer. Pero todas la imagenes que hay subido no tienen informaciones suficiente para quedar sobre Commons asi. Eso por ejemplo esta ok, pero no esta suficiente, tienes que poner las informaciones completas (quien es, de donde viene la imagen, quien la ha subido, quando, donde, la licencia etc.). Eso, no esta suficiente, eso esta bueno. Entiendes ahora? Si quieres puedes hacerlo en español, et decirme las imagenes que estan en español que puedo traducirlas. PERO HAZ LO por favor! Y escoge las buenas licencias cuando lo haces :-). Puede ser que algunas imagenes en la wikipedia inglesa no tienen bastante informaciones para quedar aqui en Commons. Last Warning

You have continued to upload picture without giving appropriate information as to the source and license. Before uploading any more pictures, clean up all the files you have uploaded until now! Me and others have repeatedly told you how to do that. Here are a few things to keep in mind:

• do not rely on the tagging in other wikipedia. always varify the license.
• For all images, the original source must be given. "english wikipedia" is not an original source.
• a PD tag is invalid if no reason is given for the image to be in the public domain.
• a GFDL tag without mentioning the creator is a license violation.
• do not upload the same image in different sizes or formats.

Please provide the missing info for all images you uploaded now. As they are now, most of the images you uploaded will be deleted soon. Do not upload more files until you cleaned up the ones already here. If you keep uploading files without proper info, I will block you. • How I can write the information of the images what I download without it ? I will do it, but I don't know how.
  • If you do not have the information required on the commons, then do not upload the image. Ask at the place where you got the image from, maybe then you'll get the info you need.
  • Image descriptions are wiki pages. Go to the image's description page and klick the edit tab.
• The flags and logos of regional divisions (France, Italy, Germany). They most are in png format, they don't are in Commons and I don't have acces to tags. They are in english wikipedia.
  • "logos" of regions are usually not public domain, because they are no official insignia.
  • I don not understand what the png format has to do with this, and I don't know what you mean by not having access to tags.
• The official flags are or public domain, isn't it ?
  • Official coats of arms and flags usually are PD, but that depends on the country. When using the PD tag, always say why you belive they are in the public domain. Additionally, use {{insignia}} for official flags, coats of arms and seals.
• I download to commons images of English Wikipedia. Now I put the words under the image and "file history". It's right, or not ?
  • This is correct, but not enough. Note that images on wikipedias (especially the english wikipedia) often do not contain enough information, or have the wrong license tag. Also, some tags, like "fair use", are not accepted on the commons.
  • Generally, always include enough info to verify the license claim. If you do not have that info, do not upload.
• Now I download images of NARA (public domain) or flags of webpages. How I can know if a image in a webpage is public domain, GNU or so ?. The most of pages have no reference to it. Only "copyrignt" or not.
  • Again: if you don't know, don't upload. Maybe ask at the website. Always include the source in the image description.
• The images of 75 years ago are public domain ... in USA. And, in Europe ???
  • Roughly speaking, images become PD 70 after the death of their creator. For details, see Commons:Licensing. If you do not know the author, upload the image only if it was created before 1900 (or published in the USA before 1923).
  • If you upload an image that you think is PD because it is old, use {{PD-old}} to tag it, and give the date of creation, at least roughly
  • again: always state the original source ("english wikipedia" is not good enough - if the original soure is missing the the wikipedia, ask the uploader).

I hope this helps. If you do not understand all I said, ask notafish or another user that speaks spanisch to translate.

Hi again

to edit image descriptions (put source, tags, etc there), simply go to the description page and click the "edit" link at the top of the page. So, go to the list of your contributions, click on the name of an image to go to the description page, the click the "edit" tab at the top.

If you can edit my talk page, I don't understand why you cannot edit image description pages - it's exactly the same thing.

As to you other question: if you do not know the license of an image, do not upload it. Images that do not have a license tag and sufficient information about source, author, etc will be deleted. -- Duesentrieb^(?!) 18:04, 6 December 2005 (UTC)

I have blocked you for 7 days - please use the pause to get fammiliar with copyright, and with the commons policy. When we talk you alsways seem cooperative, so i'll assume good faith. But your uploads are still missing vital information (Image:St_eustatius.gif was a plain copyright violation, btw - the copyrigt statement is even on the page you liked to) - and you have not cleaned up your old uploads yet.

Copyrights

Hola Walden, aquí en Commons únicamente se admiten imágenes libres. La licencia fair use en algunas imágenes de la wiki inglesa sólo es admitida allí, por lo tanto, todo lo que veas licenciado así no se puede traer, eso incluye portadas de álbumes, de discos, logos, etc, etc. Esta página te ayudará a entender las licencias admitidas Commons:Sobre las licencias
También veo que has subido imágenes que ya estaban aquí, pero con otro nombre de archivo y sustituido algunas por versiones de inferior calidad, asegúrate de que realmente ese material no existe antes de subirlo, ya que sino creas duplicados innecesariamente. Si no estás seguro de cómo hacer búsquedas para averiguar si la imagen que necesitas existe, deja un mensaje en mi página de discusión y te ayudaré a buscarla indicándote en qué categoría se encuentra. Acostúmbrate a navegar por las categorías para irte familiarizando con la estructura y la organización de archivos. Aquí debajo te dejo la información en español sobre cómo añadir los datos necesarios y las licencias, con enlaces a páginas útiles para que vayas aprendiendo el manejo de Commons. Imágenes de banderas

Hola Walden, no puedes subir imágenes de esta página http://flagspot.net/flags/disclaim.html#cop ya que no permite modificarlas ni utilizarlas comercialmente. Tampoco de esta http://www.vexilla-mundi.com/menu.htm que impide el uso comercial. Todas las imágenes que se suban a commons deben ser totalmente libres.

Otra cosa, el origen de las imágenes no se pone editando la página de otra wikipedia para colocar los datos, códigos de la licencia, fecha y alias del usuario como has hecho en varias de las últimas, esta por ejemplo, Image:King Philip C by Revere.jpg, sino poniendo el enlace a la imagen de la otra wiki, quién la subio y la licencia que tiene en ella (puedes verlo en la correcciones que he hecho). Como te he dicho arriba, esa página FOTW no permite hacer modificaciones en las imágenes ni usarlas comercialmente. Ambos requisitos forman parte de la licencia GFDL bajo la que trabaja este proyecto, no significa que tú no pretendas modificarlas o venderlas. Si no son totalmente libres aquí no se admiten. Tampoco se admite la licencia es:fair use y estás subiendo imágenes con esa licencia de la wiki inglesa. Está todo claramente explicado en Commons:Sobre las licencias moléstate en leerlo antes de seguir subiendo material ilegal. Además, si alguien borra una imagen no la vuelvas a subir, como has hecho con esta Image:Ben Nighthorse Campbell.jpg, el que en la wikipedia inglesa tenga licencia PD no significa que lo sea, la página de donde ha sido tomada dice claramente que para obtener fotos de senadores se les solicite permiso. Si no estás seguro de la legalidad de alguna imagen abstente de subirla. Voy a seguir comprobando tus contribuciones y borrando todo material que no cumpla las normas de Commons, si insistes en volver a subir imágenes eliminadas, retiradas de los artículos o subes nuevo material ilegal te bloquearé otra vez, de esa forma tendrás tiempo para aprender las políticas antes de continuar subiendo. Hola Walden, en primer lugar disculpa mi tono algo agresivo del mensaje anterior, en realidad tienes razón, este tema de las imágenes es bastante lioso y no eres el primero ni serás el último que se queda a cuadros ante tanto sermón y sin enterarse de nada.
No te desmoralices, wikipedia es realmente lo que pensabas, un acceso a la cultura y la información gratuita para todo el mundo, pero se te olvidó añadir lo de "libre" y este punto es muy importante, ya que este proyecto está basado en la libre difusión de la información para que cualquiera la pueda redistribuir, modificar o incluso vender mencionando la fuente (o sea, wikipedia) y el proyecto no reciba denuncias por infracción de copyrights. Por lo tanto, al igual que los textos no se pueden copiar de otras webs, libros, revistas o enciclopedias porque todos ellos poseen derechos de autor, las imágenes tampoco, puesto que hay fotógrafos, pintores o publicaciones que tienen los derechos sobre ellas, por eso siempre que una página web no ponga que sus contenidos están en dominio público explícitamente se considera que tienen copyright. Esta información la encontrarás en los enlaces de las páginas llamados "Terms of use", "Disclaimer" o "Privacy policy", aunque en algunos sitios no se molestan en poner dicha información.
Por otra parte, en todas las wikipedias hay gente que infringe las normas, bien porque no las conoce o porque no las quiere respetar y si nadie más se fija en tal texto o imagen para verificarlo, es posible que se pase bastante tiempo con una licencia incorrecta y se quede ahí hasta que alguien se percate de que no es legal y lo borre, por ese motivo hay que verificar la fuente de donde se ha tomado para poder subirla aquí, donde las normas son más estrictas que en el resto de las wikipedias.
En cuanto a las banderas, sí son libres, pero si tú la tomas de una página en la que especifica que no se pueden alterar o usar comercialmente esa bandera ya no lo es, porque ha sido dibujada por una persona que establece sus condiciones. Tu puedes dibujar esa misma bandera y, como es tu obra, licenciarla como te parezca bien, para ello puedes usar diferentes programas, uno de ellos es el Inkscape http://www.inkscape.org/?lang=es, un editor de SVG libre.
Estoy segura de que poco a poco irás entendiendo todo este lío y ya que hemos coincidido en él, cuenta con mi ayuda para todo lo que necesites, ya sea comprobar una fuente en inglés que no entiendas bien, poner la licencia correcta o lo que sea.
