Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content—that is, images and other media files that can be used by anyone, for any purpose. Traditional copyright law does not grant these freedoms, and unless noted otherwise, everything you find on the web is copyrighted and not permitted here. If you are the copyright holder and the creator of the file, please read Commons:But it's my own work! for tips on how to provide evidence of that.
The file you added may soon be deleted. If you have written permission from the copyright holder, please replace the copyvio tag with {{subst:OP}} and have them send us a free license release via COM:VRT. If you disagree that the file is a copyright violation for any other reason, please replace the copyvio tag with a regular deletion request.

Images in subcategories and parent categories
[edit]Hello! This is a friendly reminder that, when you go to add categories to images, ensure that you are not adding the image to parent categories when they are already present in subcategories, as you did with a number of images like this one. With rare exception, images should only be placed in the most precise categories within a category tree. Thanks, and please ask if you have any questions! — Huntster (t @ c) 21:45, 20 May 2024 (UTC)
- Okay, thanks for telling me. Vander (talk) 21:47, 20 May 2024 (UTC)
Categories need parent categories
[edit]Thank you for creating a new category or categories. When creating new categories as you did at Category:Hamm HD 13, please try to include one or more parent categories:
- All categories should be a subcategory of another category.
- For categories about specific people, this would generally include
[[Category:People by name]]
- See Commons:Categories, especially How to create a new category.
Categories that lack parent categories appear on one of these reports:
Please make sure your categories aren't in these reports by adding categories to them.
Thank you. (This is a standardized talk page message)

Renaming gone wrong!
[edit]You requested "17:07, 19 May 2024 Vander talk contribs 6,370 bytes +117 Requesting renaming this file to File:Titan-Actros4860-Z52-600F8x8.jpg; Reason: This truck has four axle, therefore be can only 8x8.; Criterion 3" which was a mistake as this photos shows two trucks, and is named after the two different trucks. Only the yellow Titan-modified Mercedes Actros 4860 is a 8x8, but the white, partially hidden one is a medium size Titan Z52-600F6x6 as written on the front. So please request a move back to the proper name File:Titan-Actros4860-Z52-600F6x6.jpg which is currently a redirect. And please be more careful in the future. 2003:C6:3715:2FFB:641F:E8AC:CF95:D48 10:38, 11 November 2024 (UTC)
- The yellow truck is in the focus of the picture, very little of the other truck is visible, therefore, the name 8x8 is correct and practical. Vander (talk) 11:03, 11 November 2024 (UTC)
- Excuse me? 2003:C6:3715:2FFB:641F:E8AC:CF95:D48 14:24, 11 November 2024 (UTC)
- Since the yellow truck is in the foreground, it should definitely be included in the name. The Z52-600F may be a 6x6, but it's just a minor character in this picture. The original naming of the image is therefore misleading, because it places a secondary object in the main object. The new name can only be something like "Actros-Titan 8x8 and 6x6". Vander (talk) 23:47, 11 November 2024 (UTC)
- I have sent the renaming request. Vander (talk) 00:08, 12 November 2024 (UTC)
