Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~. To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg. You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account. There are several tools to upload files. Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful. Made a mistake? Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it. Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

Hi @DMacks Filibeli Kaymakam-Major Ali Reşat Bey (Ayman) died in 12 February 1951. The picture is nearly a hundred years old as he was born in 1883. Utku Öziz (talk) 12:38, 14 December 2022 (UTC)

In cases stated in the first paragraph of Article 12, the protection period is 70 years from the date that the work is published, unless the author of the work discloses his name before the expiry of this period. In case the author of the work is a legal person, the protection period is 70 years from the date that the work is published.

Thanks! The subject seen in this picture is from the early 1920s, so it is likely that this image is old enough to be in the public domain. But unless you took the picture yourself, it is unlikely you own the copyright (so you cannot use a 'self' license). Could you verify that it meets {{PD-Turkey}} as the correct license tag? Hi DMacks yes it meets the {{PD-Turkey}} The picture is an intelligence file obtained by the 2nd Turkish Cavalry Division on late September 1922. It was published in December 1922 in Istanbul. Pay attention to licensing

Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content: images and other media files that can be used by anyone, for any purpose. File:1st Corps Commander Colonel İzzettin is inspecting in Afyon Karacaören during the preparations for the Great Offensive..jpg seems to be free (or it would be proposed for deletion), but it was identified as having a wrong license. Usually, it is because a public domain image is tagged with a free license, or because the stated source or other information is not sufficient to prove the selected tag is correct. Please verify that you applied the correct license tag for this file. If you believe this file has the correct license, please explain why on the file discussion page.

Please read copyrights law of Turkey and Commons:Copyright rules by territory/Turkey. Than you need to find out information about photographer or date of creation (if photographer is not known), this information is important to determine if work in public domain or not. After that you could edit file page to fix source information and license tag. Same is applicable to other historical works you claimed to be your own work. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 15:04, 13 March 2023 (UTC)
