Our first steps tour and our frequently asked questions will help you a lot after registration. They explain how to customize the interface (for example the language), how to upload files and our basic licensing policy (Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content). You don't need technical skills in order to contribute here. Be bold when contributing and assume good faith when interacting with others. This is a wiki. More information is available at the community portal. You may ask questions at the help desk, village pump or on IRC channel #wikimedia-commons (webchat). You can also contact an administrator on their talk page. If you have a specific copyright question, ask at the copyright village pump. |

File:Jared_-_Into_the_Wild.jpg has been marked as a possible copyright violation. Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content—that is, images and other media files that can be used by anyone, for any purpose. Traditional copyright law does not grant these freedoms, and unless noted otherwise, everything you find on the web is copyrighted and not permitted here. For details on what is acceptable, please read Commons:Licensing. You may also find Commons:Copyright rules useful, or you can ask questions about Commons policies at the Commons:Help desk. If you are the copyright holder and the creator of the file, please read Commons:But it's my own work! for tips on how to provide evidence of that.
The file you added has been deleted. If you have written permission from the copyright holder, please have them send us a free license release via COM:VRT. If you believe that the deletion was not in accordance with policy, you may request undeletion. (It is not necessary to request undeletion if using VRT; the file will be automatically restored at the conclusion of the process.) Warning: Wikimedia Commons takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

[[:File:30_Seconds_to_Mars_-_Conan_O'Brien.jpg]] ).

- Sorry, this is my mistake. I correct the license.--Unwish (talk) 16:48, 2 May 2010 (UTC)
- That photo is surely not your "own work" so you obviously cant grant others the right to reuse the image for commercial purposes as you do here. The tag not indicated a problem with the license but a problem with the source, please correct the source. Thank you, --Martin H. (talk) 23:00, 2 May 2010 (UTC)
- I took the photo at the Conan O'Brien's show, so what are you saying? The license is ok and the picture is mine so there is no source.--Unwish (talk) 12:06, 3 May 2010 (UTC)
- We had this discussion already in the past where you insisted tha you have token a photo that you had blatantly(!) stolen from the web. If this turns out a lie again - which I believe it is for the following evidences and no one believes the boy who cried wolf - you will be blocked indef. The evidences: (1) You are from Italy, the show was not in Italy. (2) Its a television show, you are not a television employee and cameras are likely not allowed in the middle of a television show. (3) You uploaded stolen images so obviously you simply not have any photographs of that badn, otherwise you would not upload stolen pix...!
- Please remember that this project follows the spirit of free content and not the spirit of false claims, its your chance to correct this and follow the right path. Thanks, --Martin H. (talk) 12:19, 3 May 2010 (UTC)

I said this very early to you at User_talk:Martin_H./Archive_16#Tomo_Milicevic, it was known that you are a sockpuppet. It was known that you uploaded only copyright violations, and someone who only uploads stolen files will not afterwards suddenly find a photo that he created himself in a professional manner at a location that only a profesional photographer will be able to make photos. Uploading copyvios is simply something a photographer will not do. I gave you many chances to correct the sourcing of the file, you not did this. I did so to allow you to keep this account because sometimes you can make good contributions and maybe, after all the sockpuppets and wrongdoing you finaly learned something. I have to conclude that you learned nothing, you failed to correct the source, the facts and your socking speak against you. --Martin H. (talk) 16:09, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
