Which shop is this?

[edit]
File:Picture 1795.jpg

Do you recall which street or town this co-op shop is in? --InfantGorilla (talk) 14:23, 29 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

(following 2 comments moved from en:User talk:InfantGorilla)

I am not part of Wikinews so I will have to reply here.
May I ask why you are interested in knowing where this shop is? Unisouth(AC) 14:21, 13 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I thought we could mention it in the caption. Also, perhaps include the picture in an article for the locality. --InfantGorilla (talk) 16:08, 13 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Unisouth~commonswiki!

Thank you for providing images to Wikimedia Commons. Please keep in mind that images uploaded to Commons should be useful to all users of Wikimedia projects. This is possible only if the images can be found by other people.

To allow others to find the images you uploaded here, the images should be in some place that can be found by navigating the category structure. This means that you should put the images into appropriate topic pages, categories, optionally galleries, or both of them (see Commons:Categories). To find good categories for your images, the CommonSense tool may help.

You can find a convenient overview of your uploaded files in this gallery.

The important point is that the images should be placed in the general structure somewhere. There are a large number of completely unsorted images on Commons right now. If you would like to help to place some of those images where they can be found, please do!

Thank you. BotMultichillT (talk) 06:32, 10 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Beovoz diagram

[edit]

Hi,

I have noticed that you have made a lot of nice train composition diagrams. Could you make one for Beovoz? You can use Beovoz.jpg to see composition outline, and [1] or [2] to see the color scheme.

If you are doing it, note that colors on Train Beovoz 1.jpg are not typical, so you should make either a diagram of the blue color scheme, or of both the blue and the white.

While at it, what program are you using to draw the diagrams in? Nikola (talk) 12:16, 14 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! :) Nikola (talk) 19:26, 15 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Additional Defunct Liveries

[edit]

Hi,

I quite like the work you've put into the train diagrams, would you consider using liveries from defunct TOCs ie Thameslink, WAGN, Anglia Railways, Regional Railways, First Barbie, Thames Trains, First Great Western, NSE etc...?

Would certainly open up your existing trains to new designs, :)

Hi Unisouth, using some of your diagrams, ive created several newer diagrams - EMUs & DMUs like 317 & 150 & several new past & presant liveries to go with - would you mind me uploading them or sending them over to you? - cheers, Sulzersurfer.

Use of DLR train graphic

[edit]

Please see www.bettertransport.org.uk/london_local_group.

You will see that we are campaigning for a DLR-like light railway in north London. Can we use your DLR train blown up to maybe six feet long, and used for photo opportunities with MPs for local newspapers, please?

Image dates

[edit]

Hi Unisouth,

Just a quick query.

I have been sorting the categories on some of your images, and have been wondering about the dates of some. The date you've given contradict with the image's metadata. I assume this is because the camera has the wrong date set or something. I was wondering if you could clarify please!!

Were these all actually taken in 2008? Help would be great thanks!! Arriva436talk/contribs 19:20, 31 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

OK thanks for confirming - that's excellent help!! Arriva436talk/contribs 22:07, 5 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Images

[edit]

There's a proposal to delete or improve the quality/systematise the use of  : the drawn images of train liveies at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Trains#Drawn_images_of_liverys_-_conflict_over_removal

I see that you have contributed some of them. eg

Could you contribute please.

Specifically there are a few issues -

  • trademark (are the liveries trademarked)
  • Accuracy - do you have detailed descriptions of the liveries - if so it would be very useful if you could supply links to the descriptions - specifically in terms of the type of paint used (eg as a British Standard colour or similar)

Thank You

Brithsh Transport

[edit]

Hallow my friend, just 2 days ago I returned from my trip to London. I rode Southwest trains from London to windsor. Trains are toylike. I love them. Thanks to your pix, I'd make models of them. However it is very importand to get some drawing which will give me the SHAPE of each train. Because unlike Russian trains, British ones are rich in shape.

  • If you are interested in Rusian Train Drawings, I can also give you some resources.

Hello,

A new rolling stock went into service for Tramlink in late June. Would it be possible for you to create a diagram/graphic for the new tram please ([Variobahn])? It would be very much appreciated.

First Capital Connect

[edit]

Hi, for a project i am doing I am in need of some of your diagrams. I wonder if it would be possible if you could make a BR Class 365 in FCC standard livery And how long it would take if you did?

Also, if you happen to, i would appreciate a 317 / 313 for the project as well - Charlie

Hi

Could you possibly do some diagrams of sprinters (class 153,156 etc). Also what program do you use for the diagrams.

Thanks

Use of images in a Railway program

[edit]

Hi Unisouth,

I'd like to use some of your excellent images in a railway program I am putting together. It is a program about 3rd rail units and your side plan views could be an excellent addition.

Would it be possible for you to get in touch.

I am new to the wiki side of things so please feel free to contact me via e-mail but I am unsure of how to pass that on without pasting it on a wiki page!!

Cheers,

Marcus
