Goodies, tips, and tricks Put Babel boxes on your user page so others know what languages you can speak and indicate your graphic abilities. You can find the files you have uploaded in your Uploads. Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~. To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg. You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account. There are several tools to upload files. Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful. Made a mistake? Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it. Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

Wiki Loves Earth

Good day, the picture(s) you uploaded for Wiki Loves Earth are missing a description indicating in which park(s) they have been taken as well as the Wikidata item Q-number for that park. Amqui is just asking for a little more information about these pictures. Where were they taken? For example, File:Etherington Creek Provincial Recreation Area, Alberta, Canada - creek banks.jpg seems to be a picture of Etherington Creek that was taken in an Albertan provincial recreation area — but which one? The best ways to identify them are to link them to the Wikidata entry for the park in question (but this has a bit of a learning curve; I've been here 10+ years and I couldn't do it easily), or to provide the geographic coordinates for the locations where the photos were taken (http://acme.mapper.com is a good website for this) and thus allow us to figure it out, or simply expand the description by saying what the location is. The last is easiest; just find the Wikipedia article for the recreation area and add a link to it in the description. Nyttend (talk) 00:43, 23 June 2017 (UTC)

By using the upload forms linked from Wikipedia by clicking on the upload button, the Wikidata number is automatically added, see w:en:List of provincial parks in Alberta. The Wikidata item number is also given in the left column of the tables. So this is not that big of a learning curve from there. Thanks, Amqui (talk) 12:58, 23 June 2017 (UTC)
