Image Tagging Image:Santo_Domingoo.JPG
[edit]
Thanks for uploading Image:Santo_Domingoo.JPG. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikimedia Commons (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page. If the content is a derivative of a copyrighted work, you need to supply the names and a licence of the original authors as well.
If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag, then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{self|cc-by-sa-2.5}} to release it under the Creative Commons or {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find all your uploads using the Gallery tool. Thank you. Etiquetando imagen Image:Zoey101.jpg
[edit]
Gracias. Dantadd✉ 20:53, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
Images against policiy
[edit]Please do not upload images that are against policy. Those images you uploaded have been deleted. Before you continue to contribute, please read and understand Commons:Licensing. Not doing so, may cause you being blocked. -- Bryan (talk to me) 15:04, 26 March 2007 (UTC)
- If you continue to upload copyrighted images, your account will be blocked. Image:BritneyTheOnixHotelTour.jpg is not freely licensed, and is not permitted on Commons. Photographs of live performances are still copyrighted. ~MDD4696 00:15, 27 March 2007 (UTC)

Deleted pictures
[edit]Please, please, please read Commons:First steps and Commons:Licensing. These pages will teach you a lot about the way Wikimedia Commons and copyright laws work. I'm sorry that you are getting frustrated—we're not trying to be mean to you. Many people upload files that Wikimedia Commons cannot accept, and we have to be aggressive removing them or else we can't keep up.
Here are the problems I see with your uploads:
- Image:EscudoSombrerete.jpg - We do not believe that you are the copyright holder of the work. Did you draw this image yourself? If so, is it identical to another existing image? We cannot accept a picture that you did not draw yourself or that is identical to another copyrighted picture.
- Image:Hotel Hidalgo 2.jpg, Image:San Francisco.jpg, Image:Tresfrailes.jpg - User:Bryan deleted these images with the reason "copyvio". I am not sure why he thought they were copyright violations—possibly because you uploaded other files which were copyright violations. I have asked him on his talk page. Just remember that you can only use {{PD-self}} for photographs you have taken yourself.
- Image:Santo Domingoo.JPG, Image:Jamielynnspears.jpg, Image:Britneyonix.jpg, Image:TheOnixHotelTour.jpg, Image:Britneyyoung.jpg, Image:Zoey101.jpg, Image:JamieSpears.jpg, Image:BritneyTheOnixHotelTour.jpg - Deleted since they did not have any source information (information about who took the pictures). Some of them you marked as photos you took yourself, but this was not convincing.
- Image:SanFrancisco.jpg - The source website you provided, http://www.zacatecas.gob.mx/, does not say that the wallpapers are public domain, as you claimed. Instead, it says that they are copyrighted, so we must assume that they have "All Rights Reserved". These images are not allowed.
- Image:LaCopa.jpg, Image:Sierra de Organos 0.JPG - For the same reason as above, except the image is from http://www.mexicodesconocido.com/. Take a look at http://www.terra.com.mx/aviso_legal/.
- Image:IntheZoneDVD.jpg, Image:IntheZone-DVD.jpg - DVD covers are not allowed. DVD covers are (virtually) always copyrighted and are never free use.
If you have any more questions, feel free to leave another message on my talk page. You can also ask a question at Commons:Village pump, where there are many other people willing to help. ~MDD4696 05:22, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
- The SanFrancisco picture in the www.zacatecas.gob.mx is a wallpaper for free use, is for turistic promotion of this colonial city, Zacatecas and Jerez. Is a picture of goverment without copyright --Tmasjeg 13:15, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
- Where does it say this? Unless you can provide a reference, we can't assume it's not copyrighted. Pictures taken by the Mexican government are not public domain. ~MDD4696 15:04, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
Pay attention to copyright | Image:Britonyxhotelturbrtheonme.JPG has been marked as a copyright violation. The Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content, that is, images and other media files that can be used by anyone, for any purpose. For details on what is acceptable, please read Commons:Licensing. You can ask questions about Commons policies in Commons:Help desk.
The file you added will soon be deleted. If you believe this image is not a copyright violation, please explain why on the image description page.

Your account will be renamed
[edit]Hello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Tmasjeg. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Tmasjeg~commonswiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell
Community Liaison, Wikimedia Foundation
