Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content—that is, images and other media files that can be used by anyone, for any purpose. Traditional copyright law does not grant these freedoms, and unless noted otherwise, everything you find on the web is copyrighted and not permitted here. If you are the copyright holder and the creator of the file, please read Commons:But it's my own work! for tips on how to provide evidence of that.
The file you added has been deleted. If you have written permission from the copyright holder, please have them send us a free license release via COM:VRT. - I'm not sure who wiki works if people like you delete a work without even guiding or showing exactly what the reason, it's been 2 days that I am trying to upload this picture taken from known magazine provided their website and links
- and you simply rejected
- may I know based on what ?
- I asked someone still no answer
- and you accused me of vandalism? This is huge accusation
- may I know where is Wikipedia from all this ? 2601:2C0:4B00:5902:9DDC:54FD:E772:80F7 00:10, 12 July 2023 (UTC)
- There was a reason given: it is a copyright violation. See our licensing policy. —Mdaniels5757 (talk • contribs) 00:24, 12 July 2023 (UTC)
- Wikimedia Commons only accepts media
- that are explicitly freely licensed, or
- that are in the public domain in at least the United States and in the source country of the work.
- the picture I upload covers both of
- 1) freely licensed
- 2) are in public domain
- I provided the website & links
- now what I am missing? 2607:FB91:1ACC:3CA:1473:F77C:E9B2:50F0 00:41, 12 July 2023 (UTC)
- As I already said: If there is a free license please show a web link that confirms it. You don't own the rights, so you cannot license it yourself. Being published on the web is neither a free license nor does it cause a public domain status. --Achim55 (talk) 07:08, 12 July 2023 (UTC)
