Uploaded photographs

Hi, sorry for bothering you but did you take the old pictures you uploaded to commons yourself or did you retrieved them online?

Also, what is your relationship with Antonio Bartolomeu Barbosa, are you friends, family or simply strangers?

These questions are being asked since: 1. You can’t upload pictures you see online just for the sake of it and saying they are yours. 2. You can’t create articles about people who you are close to.

These are not accusations but simple questions, I am waiting your response.

I have never met Antonio. He is, as far as I’m concerned, the only politician from my city of Ponte Nova with a published biography. I took it as a personal goal to make this the most detailed article from anyone natural to my city up to this point. It could be a challenge, as Reinaldo Lima, the greatest goalscorer in Atletico Mineiro and Mineirão Stadium history, is also from here.

In order to fulfill my goal, I searched for the biography writer’s info and emailed him regarding my objective. He then sent me a pdf file with the book, and a folder full of photos that were used, with his expressed permission to use anything I may find important on the article, in order to preserve Antonio’s memory. He told me he really liked my initiative.

Regarding the photos, I didn’t personally take them, but I can guarantee you that none of them are online. I was sent the photos from someone who had the rights to use them. They were all family owned, and Osias told me they authorized online use. I do have more pictures that I plan on adding in the coming days, btw.

Also, just to make this clear, I want to make as many articles on people from Ponte Nova as possible. I know that a senator and a state governor have been born here, though I’m yet to find any good material to expand their articles. I’ll also expand Reinaldo’s one, as I do own a signed copy of his biography, and I have personally met him several times. It’s just that once I put this in my head, it’s really hard to take out. I might get a few months without editing this page, but when I do, I get fixated. I plan on adding a few more details, but all the main aspects of his life and biography have already been covered.
