PD-Chart?
[edit]Hi Takipoint123, thanks for resolving the unusual CC-inside-closed-access case just now. I'm actually wondering if a closed-access chart might actually be public domain even if not CC BY 4.0. A link and other links at TOO#Charts seems to imply that it would be ok? Note: I'm not really saying that this figure applies, but I'm wondering just for learning purposes if there is a specific reason it wouldn't be PD-Chart. It seems like it's saying that basically all data-depicting charts are public domain as long as there are not major stylistic elements to them? Apologies if you are not familiar with this topic. - @Chamaemelum: Charts aren't the most familiar topic I know :( however, I think it really depends on the threshold of originality of wherever the chart came from, because each country has different standards on what an artistic representation that could make a simple pictogram into a copyrighted one. Thanks! Takipoint123 (💬) 05:43, 11 August 2023 (UTC)
- That makes sense, thank you! Chamaemelum (talk) 05:47, 11 August 2023 (UTC)
Welcome, Dear Filemover!
[edit]
Hi Takipoint123, you're now a filemover. When moving files please respect the following advice:
- Use the CommonsDelinker link in the {{Rename}} template to order a bot to replace all ocurrences of the old title with the new one. Or, if there was no rename-request, please use the Move & Replace-tab.
- Please leave a redirect behind unless you have a valid reason not to do so. Other projects, including those using InstantCommons, might be using the file even though they don't show up in the global usage. Deleting the redirects would break their file references. Please see this section of the file rename guideline for more information.
- Please know and follow the file rename guidelines.
