You claim that "It is believed that logos may be exhibited on Wikipedia under the fair use provision of United States copyright law.". Since WikiCommons do not allow images published under the fair use provision, the logo has been deleted. Thuresson 14:16, 11 August 2005 (UTC)
Image deletion warning
[edit]I've nominated some of your uploads for deletion at Commons:Deletion requests#Some uploads of User:Szalas. dbenbenn | talk 19:10, 24 August 2005 (UTC)
You wrote "The source: http://www.pragjesu.info/ The picture was prowided by Mr. Sleich (from the source web)." It is not clear at all who "Mr. Sleich" is. Is he the photographer? What does "provided by" mean? Which permission has the web site given, if any? Thuresson 11:52, 6 September 2005 (UTC)
Image deletion warning | Image:PolanskiIFFKV.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests. If you feel that this image should not be deleted, please go there to voice your opinion. |

File tagging File:PolanskiIFFKV.jpg
[edit]This media was probably deleted.

Thanks for uploading File:PolanskiIFFKV.jpg. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the No permission since tag with on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.
Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own). The file probably has been deleted. If you sent a permission, try to send it again after 14 days. Do not re-upload. When the VRT-member processes your mail, the file can be undeleted. Additionally you can request undeletion here, providing a link to the File-page on Commons where it was uploaded (:File:PolanskiIFFKV.jpg ) and the above demanded information in your request. |

Tip: Categorizing images
[edit]
Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.
Here's how:
1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:
2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".
When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").
Thanks again for your uploads! More information about categorization can be found in Commons:Categories, and don't hesitate to leave a note on the help desk.CategorizationBot (talk) 11:36, 15 May 2011 (UTC)

Your account will be renamed
[edit]Hello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Szalas. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Szalas~commonswiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell
