Thanks for uploading File:Islamic War Flag of The Abbasid Caliphate.webp. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the {{No permission since}} tag with {{subst:PP}} on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.
Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own). The file probably has been deleted. If you sent a permission, try to send it again after 14 days. Do not re-upload. When the VRT-member processes your mail, the file can be undeleted. Additionally you can request undeletion here, providing a link to the File-page on Commons where it was uploaded ([[:File:Islamic War Flag of The Abbasid Caliphate.webp]] ) and the above demanded information in your request. |

Wrong categorization
[edit]Hi
It's not logical to categorize "Flags of the Ottoman Empire" under "Historical flags of Ottoman Algeria".
At least the opposite would be possible : all flags used by the Ottomans in Algeria between 1516 and 1839 in Algeria by Regency of Algiers could be catgorized under "Flags of the Ottoman Empire". Poudou99 (talk) 01:49, 13 October 2023 (UTC)
- Hi
- I believe that you don't understand how categorizations works : if items of category B are included in category A, so you can categorized B under A.
- As the Ottoman Algeria (Regency of Algiers) depended to the Ottoman empire ==> "Historical flags of Ottoman Algeria" could be categorized under "Flags of the Ottoman Empire". But not the opposite : categorize "Flags of the Ottoman Empire" under "Historical flags of Ottoman Algeria" is totattly wrong. --Poudou99 (talk) 02:45, 13 October 2023 (UTC)
- For information/discussion: I have opened a discussion in the "Administrators noticeboard" regarding the wrong categorizations you make. --Poudou99 (talk) 03:25, 13 October 2023 (UTC)
- @Superior6296 I'm an admin. What you are doing here doesn't make a lot of sense to me, either. Can you please come to the discussion at Commons:Administrators' noticeboard#Wrong categorizations made by user Superior6296 and explain your intention? And can you please pause what you are doing here and wait for consensus? - Jmabel ! talk 04:16, 13 October 2023 (UTC)
As asked by @Jmabel: please stop any categorization of flag categories and explain here your motivation and your goals
In french: comme demandé par Jmabel, s'il vous plait, veuillez arrêter toutes catégorisations de catégories de drapeaux et expliquer ici ici vos motivations et vos objectifs.. --Poudou99 (talk) 19:02, 13 October 2023 (UTC)
- Superior6296, you kept going after being told to stop, so I have no alternative other than to block you. - Jmabel ! talk 21:25, 13 October 2023 (UTC)
You have been blocked for a duration of 1 week
[edit]You have been blocked from editing Commons for a duration of 1 week for the following reason: You do not have the option of continuing to edit against consensus without discussion. This block isn't intended as punitive: it is to get you to engage in discussion. You have been making major edits that appear to be against prior consensus, and you have ignored requests to explain yourself. You were asked to stop until a consensus was reached, and you kept going..
If you wish to make useful contributions, you may do so after the block expires. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may add {{unblock|(enter your reason here) ~~~~}} below this message explaining clearly why you should be unblocked. See also the block log. For more information, see Appealing a block.

I genuinely hope you will agree to stop these disruptive edits and engage in discussion before continuing. If you agree to that, I will unblock you at my earliest opportunity (or any other admin is welcome to do so) and things can continue from there. - Jmabel ! talk 21:23, 13 October 2023 (UTC)

File:Majapahit Army.jpg has been marked as a possible copyright violation. Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content—that is, images and other media files that can be used by anyone, for any purpose. Traditional copyright law does not grant these freedoms, and unless noted otherwise, everything you find on the web is copyrighted and not permitted here. For details on what is acceptable, please read Commons:Licensing. You may also find Commons:Copyright rules useful, or you can ask questions about Commons policies at the Commons:Help desk. If you are the copyright holder and the creator of the file, please read Commons:But it's my own work! for tips on how to provide evidence of that.
The file you added has been deleted. If you have written permission from the copyright holder, please have them send us a free license release via COM:VRT. If you believe that the deletion was not in accordance with policy, you may request undeletion. (It is not necessary to request undeletion if using VRT; the file will be automatically restored at the conclusion of the process.)
