Firefox Persona licensing

Hello. Is that Persona in your Firefox screenshots under a free license? I see all or most Personas are under CC by-nc-sa. --AVRS (talk) 15:48, 2 May 2011 (UTC)

Hi AVRS. The Persona in my screenshots is PractalSpectrum by Sinine. It's under CC by-nc-sa 3.0. -Supaplex (talk) 16:06, 2 May 2011 (UTC)

That's bad, because CC by-nc-sa is a non-free license, since it does not allow commercial use. You can ask the author if they would license it under a free license (like CC by-sa, CC by, MPL, Mozilla tri-license etc); unfortunately AMO currently does not provide an option to choose a different license. --AVRS (talk) 19:21, 2 May 2011 (UTC)

There seems to be a problem regarding the description and/or licensing of this particular file. It has been found that you've added in the image's description only a Template that's not a license and although it provides useful information about the image, it's not a valid license. Could you please resolve this problem, adding the license in the image linked above? You can edit the description page and change the text. Uploading a new version of the file does not change the description of the file. This page may give you more hints on which license to choose. Thank you.

That is normal, due to you don't add the Wikimedia category item correctly. You have to link the Wiki Commons category page to the Wikimedia category item on Wikidata.Supaplex (talk) 06:54, 14 May 2022 (UTC)
