File:Phylogenetic tree-fr.svg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. Use of Morocco relief location map in a scientific publication

[edit]

Hi Eric,

I am currently working on a paper on robotic experiments that we performed in the Morocco Desert.

I like your map a lot and would like to use it as location overview for my paper. Would this be OK for you?

Thank you very much and best regards, Lukas Spacenerd23

Hello Lukas. I'm glad you liked this map and that it can be useful for your publication. Feel free to use it. Just remember to inform the authorship and everything will be all right. Greetings. Sting (talk) 12:27, 7 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Eric, that is great to hear. I would cite you in such way "Map of Morocco. All experiments were performed in the vicinity of the city of Erfoud in the northern Sahara region. Map by Eric Gaba, distributed under a CC BY-SA 3.0 license." Is that the correct approach? Greetings, Lukas — Preceding unsigned comment added by Spacenerd23 (talk • contribs) 15:16, 7 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Using map for commercial use

[edit]

Hello Eric,

I hope this email finds you well.

Myself and my business partner would like to inquire about using your map as part of a campaign[Quebec province transportation and cities map-fr.svg]. Could you please let us know if this is at all possible and if so, how to go about acquiring a licence if that is what we need.

Thank you for your time! — Preceding unsigned comment was added by 2604:3D08:3482:1D00:81A0:664E:9338:D07A (talk) 00:40, 17 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Merci pour l'information et bons voyages ! Sting (talk) 10:05, 2 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You are right. I saw that information about the change of the name of the country decided by its leader some time ago, but didn‘t pay attention to the impact on those maps. I shall modify them in the coming weeks to be in accordance with the official name of the country. Thanks for remember me about this task. Sting (talk) 21:24, 11 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks too. I know there is a lot to do. Over 20 languges. Please start with the english and after with the german language version.--Bestoernesto (talk) 23:07, 12 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Eric, we intend to use your map showing the reliefs of Italy in a paper that will be published on Scientific Reports (nature.com). Of course, you’ll be acknowledged in the figure caption. Is that fine for you? Many many thanks, Anna

Request for "Belgium relief location map"

[edit]

Bonsoir Eric,

I am in the process of self-publishing a hiking guide to Belgium. In the beginning of the book there is supposed to be a map of Belgium with all 20 hikes marked for the reader to get an overview where the hikes are actually located. For this I would like to use your physical map of Belgium. Two questions:

a. Your map has an original size of 1,136 × 988 pixels. That might be too small for printing it in a book. Can you provide me with an even bigger version of the map?

b. I will state you as the originator of the map in the "credit section" of the book on p.2. I will give your name, NordNordWest and OSM together with "CC-BY-SA 3.0". Will that be sufficient?

Bien à vous Markus

Hello Markus. Yes, I can provide a larger version of that map. What would be the approximate size of the printed image? Please inform an email address so I can send you the map. Best regards. Sting (talk) 20:25, 21 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
