Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~. To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg. You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account. There are several tools to upload files. Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful. Made a mistake? Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it. Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

The news from Nikki Brink, project manager :

The negotiations have been going well and we have a few points to finalise ad then the agreement will be signed. We are anticipating signature by latest end of September.

At our last meeting on site we mentioned that the Johannesburg property Company would apply to the lottery for funding for the clock and the bell tower and the application would be submitted early next year as the submission period had closed for this year. We will also discuss the clock and the bell tower with the developer.

A minor correction. The lottery has NOT advertised for any heritage projects this year. With its usual incredibly efficiency the NLDTF has fallen so far behind its own programme that we don’t really expect them to advertise for heritage items before December. And then they will undoubtedly take a long break, lose the application forms and have another dozen dreary excuses as to why they cannot dispense the funds.

So not much hope there.

As to signing of the agreement we hope that in heritage month the City of Johannesburg will bear in mind that this is one of our most significant heritage buildings and DO Something.
