File tagging File:Larry-semon-sawmill-framed.webp
[edit]This media was probably deleted.

Thanks for uploading File:Larry-semon-sawmill-framed.webp. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the {{No permission since}} tag with {{subst:PP}} on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.
Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own). The file probably has been deleted. If you sent a permission, try to send it again after 14 days. Do not re-upload. When the VRT-member processes your mail, the file can be undeleted. Additionally you can request undeletion here, providing a link to the File-page on Commons where it was uploaded ([[:File:Larry-semon-sawmill-framed.webp]] ) and the above demanded information in your request. |

[edit]Hello! Thanks for your contributions. Just wanted to let you know works published in 1929 are currently not in the public domain until January 1, 2025 and unless they had no copyright notice they may be deleted. In best regards, Wiiformii (talk)

Some file clean up for you
[edit]Hi there! I'm really glad to see your enthusiasm for the public domain and The Gold Diggers series of entertainment. The materials directly from the film like screenshots and songs are not yet in the public domain since they are from 1929 and had copyrights renewed. You will see that I have nominated many of them for deletion. But don't worry since they will can be undeleted in about half a year once 2025 arrives.
I also noticed that the file information on a lot of these is lacking. Please make sure that you are utilizing the proper licenses for things. PD-US is the least descriptive and doesn't really tell us WHY something is public domain. I've gone ahead and updated the files you uploaded with proper licenses as well. Additionally, I've nominated some of them for renaming since they don't have the most descriptive titles. Having just a long string of letters/numbers like the file might save as initially is not very helpful for locating things on Commons. Please try to update the files when you upload them.
I'd be glad to share more information on this and help you out!
