First steps tutorial

Our first steps tour and our frequently asked questions will help you a lot after registration. They explain how to customize the interface (for example the language), how to upload files and our basic licensing policy (Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content).

You don't need technical skills in order to contribute here. Be bold when contributing and assume good faith when interacting with others. This is a wiki.

Getting help

More information is available at the community portal. You may ask questions at the help desk, village pump or on IRC channel #wikimedia-commons (webchat). You can also contact an administrator on their talk page. If you have a specific copyright question, ask at the copyright village pump.

Goodies, tips, and tricks
  • Put Babel boxes on your user page so others know what languages you can speak and indicate your graphic abilities.
  • You can find the files you have uploaded in your Uploads.
  • Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~.
  • To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg.
  • You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account.
  • There are several tools to upload files.
  • Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful.

Hi EugeneZelenko, Tatiana Andreevna contacted me before uploading these photos. She said that she took the picture of the service record (File:V I Stanishevsky service record.pdf) herself on 2 January 2021, just like File:Stanishevsky Andrey Vladimirovich.jpg (in 1972). As for Maxinvestigator's remark, Tatiana Andreevna says that the picture that she uploaded was indeed taken by her: she changed her mind about uploading Veis's photo after talking to me about copyright expiration.
Tatiana Andreevna also said that she's sorry about deleting these templates and she didn't mean to, she's simply an inexperienced editor.

EugeneZelenko, спасибо за ссылку. Там сказано, что текст административного характера (послужной список к таким относится) не является объектом авторского права и авторским правом не охраняется. Армейский чиновник 110 лет назад выдал моему деду стандартную справку без комментариев, анализов, прогнозов, толкований и прибавлений от себя. Сканирование делает меня автором данной электронной копии этого документа. Я её ниоткуда не скачала, а взяла из семейного архива. Хочу сделать её общественным достоянием. Здравствуйте, EugeneZelenko! Давайте снимем вопросы авторского права на это изображение. Я сделала эту фотографию в 1972 году. Теперь я её отсканировала, загрузила в Викимедиа и поставила тег { {PD-self} }, поскольку это действительно моя собственная работа. Об этом у нас была переписка с моим Вики-наставником. См. выше в предыдущем треде его пояснение. Спасибо, что Вы сняли служебный тег по лицензии с послужного списка. Пожалуйста, снимите тег и с фотографии отца. Она моя, и я сознательно делаю её общественным достоянием. Если есть ошибка в оформлении, подскажите, как её исправить. Может быть, существует какая-то стандартная форма для указания таких обоснований. Но я новичок, это первая статья, которую я редактирую в Википедии, и такую форму я не могу найти. В статье понадобится ещё несколько фотографий. Если мы правильно опишем эту, с остальными не возникнет проблем, так как я буду следовать Вашей инструкции. Здравствуйте, EugeneZelenko! Спасибо за ссылку, изучила её. Мой случай не попадает ни под один из случаев, при которых надо писать в OTRS.
  • Я получил разрешение от автора (которым не являюсь) на загрузку изображения на Викисклад. - я являюсь автором
  • Я владелец авторских прав, но мой файл был ранее опубликован без свободной лицензии в источнике, который я не могу изменить. - опубликован не был
  • Я являюсь сотрудником правообладателя. - Я сама правообладатель
  • Я регулярно публикую свои работы в других источниках и хочу избежать необходимости в отправки разрешений на каждую свою загрузку. - До сих пор ничего не публиковала вообще. Я вынуждена редактировать эту статью, потому что о моем родном отце здесь было написано бог весть что и в ней была фотография другого человека, которого я в конце концов опознала; не по своей инициативе я это всё редактирую и стараюсь раз пришлось делать, то сделать качественно. Информативно и с документальным подтверждением.
  • Я - владелец авторских прав, и моя работа загружена на Викисклад без разрешения. - Загрузила сама.

Там же, по приведенной Вами ссылке, описано необходимое содержание шаблона { {information} }. Всё необходимое я внесла в этот шаблон в разделе Краткое описание сразу же после загрузки файла. Всё в соответствии с моим случаем. Значением атрибута license указан шаблон { {PD-self } }, потому что загрузивший одновременно автор работы; значением атрибута source указан шаблон { {own} }, автором-создателем обозначила себя. Конечно, я могу написать в OTRS, если Вы настаиваете, но стоит ли отнимать время волонтёров? Первое, что они увидят - что всё это не тот случай. Если бы мы встретились невиртуально, никаких проблем бы не возникло. К сожалению, трудно отличить добросовестных участников от недобросовестных только по названию учётной записи. К сожалению, часто попадаются "собственные" работы 19 или начала 20 века, да и более ранних периодов. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 15:44, 14 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Да, EugeneZelenko, бывают недобросовестные пользователи, не могу с Вами не согласиться. Висела же эта статья полтора года с фотографией другого человека, которого я опознала – Пикулина Михаила Григорьевича. Люди, её загрузившие, никакого отношения к Пикулину не имели, автор фотографии неизвестен, а его наследники живы и могут указать на нарушение их авторского права. Зато по стандарту Википедии лицензия на это фото, видимо, была оформлена правильно. Хотя это фото было взято из ЖЖ, вырезано отсюда и полтора года хорошо чувствовало себя в Википедии, до сих пор поисковые машины выдают его на запрос "Станишевский Андрей Владимирович". Вот пример.

С юридической точки зрения это был подлог. Когда же я пытаюсь исправить ошибку в Википедии и загрузить изображение того, о ком статья, обнаруживается, что я должна доказывать свое право на картинку. Вы, наверное, считаете, что я слишком молода для того, чтобы сделать эту фотографию. Сообщаю, что мне 75 лет, а в 1972 г. когда сделано это фото, мне было 27 и я вовсю фотографировала. Вот редактировать статью в Википедии приходится впервые, мне очень трудно разобраться в правилах, поэтому и просила у Вас помощи. Сегодня картинку удалили, и я не пойму, что мне делать для ее восстановления. Объясните, что делать. Художник, написавший эту картину, умер, не оставив наследников в 1985 году. С этой картины копии никогда не снимались, она одна на всём свете. Все права на произведение передаются тому, кому художник это произведение дарит либо продает до тех пор, пока не меняется владелец. Эта картина всегда принадлежала нашей семье и мы можем по закону сделать с ней всё, что хотим. Продать, уничтожить, подарить музею или опубликовать в Википедии. В основном Администраторы данного ресурса англоязычные - лучше писать на английском. И подписывайтесь, пожалуйста.
