Omaze photos
[edit]Hi Simon, would you mind clarifying the source, author and licence of these three images? You say on the English Wikipedia that Omaze are paying you to edit their article, so I assume these photos are from them, rather than your own personal work. Who is the credited author and what licence are Omaze releasing the images under?
- File:HERO H22 Mallorca OMAZE MALLORCA EXTERIORS 01 v1 16x9 LowRes.jpg
- File:HERO H23 Cotswolds OMAZE COTSWOLDS DRONE 01 00755 Panorama 16x9 v3 LowRes.jpg
- File:OMAZE LONDON 07.11.22 REAR-EXTERIOR 4 00870 w2a.jpg
Thanks. Belbury (talk) 16:55, 30 September 2024 (UTC)
- Hi Belbury
- They are all press shots directly supplied by Omaze, so don't require a credit.
- Best wishes

- Okay, Commons still requires evidence of permission that Omaze has released them under a genuinely free licence (rather than merely saying something like "we give permission for these to be used on our Wikipedia page"). I'll mark them up now and you'll get an automated permission notice on your talk page below. Belbury (talk) 08:42, 2 October 2024 (UTC)
- Hi Belbury
- No problem. I'll ask for the copyright info, along these lines: "Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org)"
- Best wishes

Thanks for uploading File:HERO H22 Mallorca OMAZE MALLORCA EXTERIORS 01 v1 16x9 LowRes.jpg. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the {{No permission since}} tag with {{subst:PP}} on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.
Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own). Warning: unless the permission information is given, the file may be deleted after seven days. Thank you. |
