Copyright and "own work"
[edit]Hello. Are you really the legal copyright holder of File:Omar Portrait.jpg, File:The West China Union University.jpg, and File:Omar and Retta Kilborn and the first two admitted medical classes of the University.png? I doubt you are the photographer, so {{Own}} is wrong. The photographs are likely in the public domain, perhaps by {{PD-China}} or {{PD-Canada}}, but you need to credibly and truthfully specify the source and creator. If you obtained the images from another source (a website, or scanned from a book, library or museum), please indicate the source. The date and country of creation, the date and country of first publication, as well as identity and lifespan of the photographer are important in determining whether an image is in the Public Domain: See Commons:Public domain for more info. If you have questions about copyright, or which public domain template is most appropriate you can ask at Commons:Village pump/Copyright. Thanks, --Animalparty (talk) 02:46, 13 December 2019 (UTC)
