Emil Eikner (biography)
Emil Eikner (Lars Emil Eikner born August 5 1979) is a Swedish chess competitor, professional chef, cabaret performer and entertainment executive, former Chairman of F.U.S.I.A. and Chairman since 2005 of Swenglistic Underground (previously CabarEng).
Background
Eikner was born and grew up in the southern suburbs of Stockholm and graduated in 1999 after junior college education in the restaurant business at the trade school at Ericsson Globe. The same year he was in the Swedish National Chess Competition and placed third in Class III.
Cabarets and recordings
Working usually with director Lars Jacob, Eikner has produced and appeared as a headliner in underground cabaret entertainment since 2004 in Stockholm and has produced over 100 studio recordings of songs (all now on YouTube), mainly with Yaiya Sacasios, but also with celebrities like Christina Schollin, Kjerstin Dellert, Kim Anderzon, Christer Lindarw, Hans E. Wallman, Thomas Dellert, Gunvor Pontén, Agneta Lindén and Caroline Gentele. His 2011 Stockholm cabaret ensemble toured that year with A Tribute Westward and Cabaret Large A-Cup to New York, DC, Maryland and Massachusetts. In 2007 he planted a park tree with Lars Jacob in memory of cabaret entertainer Steve Vigil, cooperating with the city of Warren, Michigan, and Vigil's sister Linda Vigil Allegro.
Publishing
As a publisher, he has secured permission from composers and lyricists Birgit Ridderstedt (estate), Ian Whitcomb, John Groves, Örjan Ramberg, Berndt Egerbladh (estate) and Mia Adolphson to register some of their work with STIM and record it.
Other travels
Eikner travelled in the United States for entertaimnent purposes also in 2008 and 2016, staying with such prominent Americans as Dr. Stanley M. Truhlsen and meeting with Siri von Reis and daughter Serena Altshul. He also made extensive European trips in 2010 and 2015. On those excursions, he took part in photographing the monumental tombs of Queen Margaret I of Denmark (Roskilde), King Eric the Pomeranian (Darłowo), Queen Christina of Sweden (Vatican City) and King Albert of Sweden (Bad Doberan) for Wikipedia, and met with dynasty heads Christoph Prinz zu Schleswig-Holstein, Moritz Prinz und Landgraf von Hessen and Borwin Herzog zu Mecklenburg.
Photography
Since 2005, Eikner is also Deputy Chairman of the Southerly Clubs of Stockholm and as such has photographed a considerable amount of notable Swedes for Wikimedia Commons, such as Måns Zelmerlöw.

Lars Jacob birthday parties has been listed at Commons:Categories for discussion so that the community can discuss ways in which it should be changed. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry. If you created this category, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for discussion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it. If the category is up for deletion because it has been superseded, consider the notion that although the category may be deleted, your hard work (which we all greatly appreciate) lives on in the new category. In all cases, please do not take the category discussion personally. It is never intended as such. Thank you! |

Thanks for uploading File:Leo Marks 2000.jpg. I notice that the file page either doesn't contain enough information about the license or it contains contradictory information about the license, so the copyright status is unclear.
If you created this file yourself, then you must provide a valid copyright tag. For example, you can tag it with {{self|GFDL|cc-by-sa-all}} to release it under the multi-license GFDL plus Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike All-version license or you can tag it with {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. (See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of license tags that you can use.) If you did not create the file yourself or if it is a derivative of another work that is possibly subject to copyright protection, then you must specify where you found it (e.g. usually a link to the web page where you got it), you must provide proof that it has a license that is acceptable for Commons (e.g. usually a link to the terms of use for content from that page), and you must add an appropriate license tag. If you did not create the file yourself and the specific source and license information is not available on the web, you must obtain permission through the VRT system and follow the procedure described there. Note that any unsourced or improperly licensed files will be deleted one week after they have been marked as lacking proper information, as described in criteria for deletion. If you have uploaded other files, please confirm that you have provided the proper information for those files, too. If you have any questions about licenses please ask at Commons:Village pump/Copyright or see our help pages. Thank you. |

“Unidentified locations”
Dear Serge,
The images File:Emil Eikner at Bar Jeder Vernunft 2015 Berlin.JPG and File:Lars Jacob at Bassy Club 2015 Berlin.jpg were added to Unidentified locations in Berlin because location specific categories were missing. I did add them now. Please make sure, to place images in the correct location category before removing them from "unidentified locations".
Cheers, --MB-one (talk) 23:08, 18 November 2018 (UTC)
- English is my first language, and to me the term "unidentified location" means that the location where the image was created is unidentified. That was not so in any of those three cases. The uploader was very careful to identify the location in Berlin where each image was created. If you wish to add district categories, that's just fine, but please make sure not to use the term and category "unidentified location" where the location, in fact, has been identified. You can create a category, of you wish, called Commons:Category:Unidentified city district, which could serve your needs. However, that too, though a link to the restaurant's article, was not applicable in one of those cases. Please make sure to read page info before you categorize! --SergeWoodzing (talk) 23:19, 18 November 2018 (UTC)
- Since files should be categorized according to the most specific location possible, “unidentified” extends to "not properly categorized". --MB-one (talk) 00:05, 19 November 2018 (UTC)
- Sorry, nobody, not you, not me, not anyone, can change a language so that words mean something else, to suit us personally. The term "unidentified location" means that the location where the image was created is unidentified. I'm sorry that you don't seem willing to take in what I mean as good advice. Sooner or later, you'll realize that it was, if you go on adding inappropriate (misnamed) categories to a lot more images.
- I'll transfer the rest of this discussion to one of the image's talk pages, where it actually belongs, so we can find out what others think.--SergeWoodzing (talk) 00:47, 19 November 2018 (UTC)
- I'm with the original poster, MB-one. These are largely maintenance categories (though they are also useful to complete the diffusion of pictures in -- in this case -- Berlin to narrower geographical locations). If we need to do something to mark them as such, fine, but no end user is looking specifically for "pictures in Berlin whose location is unknown": the only person looking for that is someone who is helping to sort out categories. - Jmabel ! talk 19:58, 25 November 2018 (UTC)
- OK, so it makes no difference that we are careful to note the location, because someone can come along and categorize the image as "location unknown" anyway. Doesn't make much sense to me. What's the use of giving locations then, if that info is going to be ignored? And what's the use of using clear English words if they are going to mean something else? Sorry, I don't get it. Wouldn't a more specific category be better like Commons:Category:Unidentified city district? Can I go ahead and categorize a bunch of images as "Name unknown" because I want the full names, not just first and last? Ugh! ----SergeWoodzing (talk) 11:03, 26 November 2018 (UTC)

No permission?
Hi Serge. Following your message you refer to Den man tau has being the author of these paintings. Please note that I've not asked this user's permission but Dramamonster's. Yours, --Patrick Rogel (talk) 12:53, 25 November 2018 (UTC)
- I am sorry but I do not know what you mean here. If I wrote to you on your page, you could have replied there. I'll go there and continue this, because it's very confusing to talk in two different places. --SergeWoodzing (talk) 11:06, 26 November 2018 (UTC)
Please do not remove problem tags
- Please refrain your frenzy to remove deletion templates from File:Jackie Curtis Backstage by Gary LeGault.jpg. If you don't agree please open a regular deletion request instead. Patrick Rogel (talk) 12:49, 27 November 2018 (UTC)
- I don't think the image should be deleted, so a false deletion request is not my style. You may change the tag from speedy to regular delete if you wish to appear ethical about the uploaders own info. Also, you should use the file's talk page when asked to do so. I will revert again so that you might notice your obligation to discuss there. --SergeWoodzing (talk) 13:00, 27 November 2018 (UTC)
Your accusations
Following this I would appreciate you stop propagating false accusations. Indeed you says:
- "Refusal to discuss": My talk page is full of our exchanges. Besides you decided to end discussion yesterday and go complain to the Administrator @Jmabel: (without notify me which is quite unpolite);
- You receive the warning "Please do not remove problem tags" on your Talk page because of that. Please note you are writing "I've written to nom but am getting incomprehensible replies" which contradicts your assertion of "Refusal to discuss". You have undone the deletion request a second time though you have been explained two times to "put the image up for a (regular) deletion request (...) if you think that required information is already given" and " If you don't agree please open a regular deletion request instead" and you refused to do so (I have to do it instead);
- You discuss my "behavior" and blaming me for these files "get speedily deleted (see nom's talk page again)". You should know that the 3 files by user Dramamonster have received a "No permission since" template, not a Speedy deletion one and that the deletion of the first file has been performed by an Administrator;
- You regret the OTRS system which makes that "uploaders & authors aren't even given a chance to defend their images" so you should adreee your request directly to the Administrator De728631 which has refused an undeletion and said the uploader to go thru OTRS and to User Abzeronow who has told the same thing;
- Finaly you asserted many times but failed to prove by a diff that Dramamonster is Gary LeGault hence the OTRS request. You could or should have requested an undeletion as I invited you to do so but you prefered to continue this drama which has spent a lot of octets and time so far. As a side note I've modified my reply to you here so I expect it's clearer now. Yours, --Patrick Rogel (talk) 14:05, 28 November 2018 (UTC)
- If any administrator thinks my concerns are unwarranted about all the files we are losing speedily by your many actions, then I'm sure we'll hear about that. Meanwhile, please stay away from my talk page! I have nothing to discuss with you here and have expressed my concerns, so far, where they belong. -- --SergeWoodzing (talk) 12:31, 29 November 2018 (UTC)
- Please stay away from my talk page too and use user's talk page if you want to let him a message, not mine. --Patrick Rogel (talk) 11:56, 27 December 2018 (UTC)
