File:Apollo-Optik Logo 1024px.jpg has been marked as a possible copyright violation. Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content—that is, images and other media files that can be used by anyone, for any purpose. Traditional copyright law does not grant these freedoms, and unless noted otherwise, everything you find on the web is copyrighted and not permitted here. For details on what is acceptable, please read Commons:Licensing. You may also find Commons:Copyright rules useful, or you can ask questions about Commons policies at the Commons:Help desk. If you are the copyright holder and the creator of the file, please read Commons:But it's my own work! for tips on how to provide evidence of that.
The file you added may soon be deleted. If you have written permission from the copyright holder, please replace the copyvio tag with {{subst:OP}} and have them send us a free license release via COM:VRT. If you disagree that the file is a copyright violation for any other reason, please replace the copyvio tag with a regular deletion request. Warning: Wikimedia Commons takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

Re your email
[edit]Dear Admin, you recently deleted our logo "Apollo Optik" from wikimedia commons. Now I am the Online Marketing Manager of Apollo Optik GmbH and my action to update the logo was perfectly ok. Please undelete, if possible or give advice how I can update our logo for our Wiki presence. Thank you. Cheers, (name removed), Apollo-Optik GmbH
To correct your statement. I deleted one of the versions of the upload as it was duplicate
23:02, 19 March 2014 Billinghurst (talk | contribs | block) deleted page File:Apollo-Optik Logo 400px.jpg (Exact or scaled down duplicate: File:Apollo-Optik Logo 1024px.jpg)
and I nominated the other for deletion on the basis of a copyright violation. That other copy was assessed as being so, and deleted with the comment
00:00, 20 March 2014 Fastily (talk | contribs | block) deleted page File:Apollo-Optik Logo 1024px.jpg (Copyright violation: If you are the copyright holder/author and/or have authorization to upload the file, email COM:OTRS)
So your desired advice is suitably contained. So if you wish to cede the copyright of your organisation's logo to the public domain in some form, then please identify the tag to be used at Commons:Copyright tags, then follow the process at Commons:OTRS, and make contact regarding File:Apollo-Optik Logo 400px.jpg and we will apply an OTRS tag that confirms that release with the chosen licence.
