Question about size

Dear Samir, Is it just me or does the new one you made -- shown here on the Argentina page -- look smaller than the one Exbrook made -- shown here on the Canada page? Can this glitch be fixed before you make many more? Thanks. Anna Koval (WMF) (talk) 17:44, 22 May 2015 (UTC)

Hi Anna. The size is not different. Hight is the same on all banners (2,000px) as it is the WEP logo size to which we add a country banner. The width changes from a country to another as a banner for the wordmark "Peru" wouldn't be the same size as one with "Argentina", as the latter is much longer. That means: all banners are 2,000px in hight but some would be 6,000px or 12,000 or whatever in width. Why do they look different in hight? Because Wiki websites use the size you choose to determine the width not the hight. If you look at this one of Canada and that one of Brasil you would imagine that Brasil's one is bigger in hight which is not true, both have the same size while Canada's one is wider. I know that it's a bit very complicated so please let me know if you want me to elaborate in more details. --Selsharbaty (WMF) (talk) 19:11, 22 May 2015 (UTC)

Dear Samir, I see what you're saying, and you are right! The wordmark is the complicating factor. It would be good if the black square WEP logo were the same in every banner logo, so as one clicks through the various country pages, they will not be confused, as I was, though perhaps this is not be possible. Question about color

Dear Samir, What are your criteria for selecting the colors for the banners and tile logos? I noticed when I added the banner to Outreach:Education/Countries/Albania that the red in the banner, which I believe corresponds to the red in the Albanian national flag, clashes with the muted colors in the File:WikiAkademia Logo.png. In this case, you could ask Greta Doçi which color would work best for her program, since she will be the one using the logo the most? That's a good note, Anna. I will have a look at every country page before localizing their logos to see if there are any colors we need to match with when making their logos. Question about pixelation

Dear Samir. I love seeing this category filling up! Thank you for all your hard work on this project. I did want to ask about image clarity and pixelation. To me, it seems as if some of the logos are clearer, less pixelated than others. For example, Argentina, Austria, Syria all look sharp and crisp. But, Hungary, Honduras, Hong Kong, and most of the rest, look fuzzy and pixelated. Are you seeing what I'm seeing, or is this a matter of my bad eyesight? :) I wanted to note this before you made too many more, in case the issue can be corrected. Thanks! Thanks for noting this, Anna. Like the size question, it's related to wiki not to the size I'm using. They look pixelated in some sizes on wiki and that's an issue on Wikimedia projects in general but doesn't mean they are different from each other. If you look at a bigger size or the actual size here, do you find it still pixelated? I'm using the same pixels/inch for all the ones done till this moment, and I will continue doing improvements on all logos every day. Color on the Turkey WEP logos

Dear Samir,

Thanks to you and İncelemeelemani we now have two logos for Wikimedia Education Programs in Turkey

My only concern is that the colors look different. See File:WEP Turkey banner logo-tr.png and File:WEP Turkey banner logo.svg.

Is it possible for you to change the color in your file to match the color in İncelemeelemani's file and re-upload it so that the two files match better?
