Don't over-categorize

[edit]

Hi Seerig, please don't over-categorize your images! Read Commons:Categories and particularly paragraph over-categorization for further information. -- Ies (talk) 19:46, 13 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I appreciate your constructive advice. Cheers. Seerig (talk) 21:58, 13 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
As recent uploads of you do show is that you obviously do not appreciate User:Ies' advice. --High Contrast (talk) 23:04, 16 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I am trying to help the project. Do you have a specific example of my "over-categorizing"? I would like to learn the best way to contribute, but your harsh tone is not constructive. Seerig (talk) 16:27, 9 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Sergei,

I wanted to let you know that I plan to use your image in a picture studies project I am putting together for Canadian students. (I'm also using the image of the climbing wall from the Stampede)

If you have any questions, please let me know. Thank you!

Using your picture of Canola

[edit]

Hello:

I am using your picture of a canola plant as a slide in a lecture (in Mathematics [sic]) to illustrate the number of petals in the flower. Best image of a canola plan I could find on Wikimedia.

Mik Bickis, Professor of Mathematics, University of Saskatchewan.

Want to use your photo for a film about art with reusable materials.

[edit]

Hello Seerig,

I am making a video for the FOFA gallery at Concordia in Montreal. I would like to use your image of the dumpsters in one clip about reusable art. The details of using this image requested that I let you know. I am a student with no budget for the film so I cannot offer you money for use of the image. However, if you'd like your picture used for this worthy cause of educating people about art, then please let me know. If not, also please let me know. I don't have a talk page but you can email me at: katie.lefevre@gmail.com

Sincerely,

Using it for a YouTube video

[edit]

Just adding to the list... I'm preparing a brief video on the Leopard C2 as it's being added to a game I play! Thought you'd find it interesting! — Preceding unsigned comment was added by 207.119.194.176 (talk) 15:10, 1 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Using you dumpster photo

[edit]

Thanks for the photo of the dumpster. I'm using it in Chapter 53 of my online novel Who Killed the Lisping Barista of the Epiphany Cafe. This chapter, titled "The Weather-Beaten Man in a Cowboy Hat Takes Up Residence By the Dumpster" will be posted on 2/23/21. — Preceding unsigned comment was added by 2603:7080:7201:7A4:ADA3:6FA2:EF69:4EBB (talk) 17:42, 7 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
