Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~. To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg. You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account. There are several tools to upload files. Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful. Made a mistake? Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it. Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

Cats

If a parent cat such as West Derby Cemetery is in a category then placeing the media contained in the same cat is redundant.--JIrate (talk) 15:02, 16 February 2010 (UTC)

I intend pre-empt your question with the above. The media is already in the West Derby Cemetery cat, which is itself in the Croxteth Cat, so placing the individual media in it as well is redundant.--JIrate (talk) 13:35, 17 February 2010 (UTC)

West Derby Cemetry. I orginally put it in Fazakerley, if you where 84.13.106.30 I think you may have moved it. I'm not 100% convinced it is actually in Croxteth but finding a map withthe actuall boundares on is a little difficult. I am not 100% popular with the council ATM can I suugest you put in an FOI request for the information? What I'm trying to say is that city area are not that well defined and commons need better info on which area is which and Freedom of Iformation request to the council can get this. Do not worry to much about the names of the files. It can be changed but unless there is a prssing reason don't request it, just make sure the description is up correct. Images with dates on

It is part of a heirachy that goes along way up. BTW You should not be deletingthe streets in Liverpool Cat. Commons policy is that things should be in all relivant categories. To Enable selection on whatever basis. The district one should be added but the steet should not be removed.--JIrate (talk) 14:56, 13 September 2010 (UTC)

If you want to propose a policy of differetiating between major and minor streets then do so, but at the moment there is non. I think you are making distinctions that are unimportant when characterising the images.--JIrate (talk) 15:32, 13 September 2010 (UTC)

I think I do get you point, but what you are missing is that Commons is a media source, It's pupose is to provide free to use media not to illustrate any particular subject and as such the Categorys are arranged like stock photography archives.--JIrate (talk) 15:51, 13 September 2010 (UTC)

Heirachy

I have removed the Vauxhall cat from to of the Stanley Dock images as the Stanley Dock cat is itself in the Vauxhall cat and all the images are in that cat.--JIrate (talk) 13:47, 14 September 2010 (UTC)

Canalside Park
