File:Alan Gross 2009.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.
If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues. |

- Dear Sarah, the problem can be fixed easily. As user accounts are anonymous ones, we cannot see whether User:Sarahroseanne is Sarah Gross (shown in the file's metadata) or not. Please send an e-mail to permissions-commons@wikimedia.org to confirm that. You should use a sarahgrossphotography.com mail address and refer to the File:Alan Gross 2009.jpg. Then you will receive a confirmation carrying a ticket number. It takes up to a few days until the matter will be dealt with. Leave me a note if the process gets stuck. - Thank you. What other information should be in the email?
- Also, I see that the Wikipedia commons page says, "[When] The image contains a watermark or its metadata contains a Creator or Copyright holder field that does not match your username, Usually, explaining the situation surrounding your pseudonyms will suffice if you are really the same person; our general practice is to trust people to tell the truth unless there are reasons to believe otherwise'
- So why am I not being believed? It seems like a lot to go through just to post a photo that I took of my own father. Sarahroseanne (talk) 10:00, 6 March 2023 (UTC)
- It is just to confirm that User:Sarahroseanne = Sarah Gross = sarahgrossphotography.com. I wouldn't have requested that, but someone else did start the deletion request... --Achim55 (talk) 10:22, 6 March 2023 (UTC)
- What other information needs to be in the email? Just reference the page and the photo? Sarahroseanne (talk) 10:32, 6 March 2023 (UTC)
- Should be sufficient as you already licensed it correctly. --Achim55 (talk) 10:59, 6 March 2023 (UTC)
- Okay, thank you for your help, I sent the email. Sarahroseanne (talk) 11:01, 6 March 2023 (UTC)
