File:Debjani Chatterjee actress.jpg has been marked as a possible copyright violation. Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content—that is, images and other media files that can be used by anyone, for any purpose. Traditional copyright law does not grant these freedoms, and unless noted otherwise, everything you find on the web is copyrighted and not permitted here. For details on what is acceptable, please read Commons:Licensing. You may also find Commons:Copyright rules useful, or you can ask questions about Commons policies at the Commons:Help desk. If you are the copyright holder and the creator of the file, please read Commons:But it's my own work! for tips on how to provide evidence of that.
The file you added has been deleted. If you have written permission from the copyright holder, please have them send us a free license release via COM:VRT. If you believe that the deletion was not in accordance with policy, you may request undeletion. (It is not necessary to request undeletion if using VRT; the file will be automatically restored at the conclusion of the process.)

File tagging File:Debjani Chatterjee actress.jpg
[edit]This media was probably deleted.

Thanks for uploading File:Debjani Chatterjee actress.jpg. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the {{No permission since}} tag with {{subst:PP}} on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.
Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own). The file probably has been deleted. If you sent a permission, try to send it again after 14 days. Do not re-upload. When the VRT-member processes your mail, the file can be undeleted. Additionally you can request undeletion here, providing a link to the File-page on Commons where it was uploaded ([[:File:Debjani Chatterjee actress.jpg]] ) and the above demanded information in your request. |

Your account has been blocked
[edit]Note that the duration is indefinite (which is not the same as infinite) per deliberate Flickr washing. This is problematic above and beyond merely uploading copyright violations and requires a very good explanation indeed if you are to resume editing here. Эlcobbola talk 14:10, 28 July 2022 (UTC)
- Oppose - You found an Internet image, cropped off the actual author's watermark and uploaded it to Flickr, then uploaded it here. You did this despite: 1) using the UploadWizard, the very first page of which is a giant infographic that says "We can’t accept works created or inspired by others. By default, you can't upload someone else's work. This includes material such as [...] most pictures published on the Internet" and 2) when "everything you find on the web is copyrighted and not permitted here" (bold in original) appeared twice on this page (!!!). These actions, taken together and in the face of substantial warnings, are not mistakes of a "new editor", but a deliberate attempt to deceive and to disregard common sense (which requires no experience here) and guidance placed directly in front of you. This request does not even acknowledge what you've done, let alone provide the required understanding and credible commitment to discontinue. Эlcobbola talk 17:38, 28 July 2022 (UTC)
- Elcobbola Sorry sir that was my mistake and I apologize for it and I promise that I will not do any mistakes in future and I think I need to understand more about all this that was my fault. please guide me how to upload and all that about licenses. STATZET (talk) 18:08, 28 July 2022 (UTC)
- Elcobbola Please unblock me sir and I assure that next time anything I upload will ask you. STATZET (talk) 17:11, 29 July 2022 (UTC)
- @Elcobbola: Sir, i assure that this is my first and last block and I've learn from this mistake. next time anything I upload I'll ask away. Please unblock me. STATZET (talk) 07:04, 30 July 2022 (UTC)
- @Moheen: can you unblock me ??? and I assure that next time anything I upload will ask you. STATZET (talk) 10:08, 30 July 2022 (UTC)
- I see zero evidence you've come to understand what a free licensed image is or that you've realised you're some place other than the English language Wikipedia. Try to convey that you have before continuing to spam people, or this account will be further restricted. Vera (talk) 12:22, 30 July 2022 (UTC)
- Noting for the record this user emailed me an unblock request. I'm not aware of having interacted with this editor before, but can't rule out having deleted an upload that was tagged. Their email is timestamped 05:15:24, 31 July 2022 (UTC), which is after the above warning about spamming but after the pending request on-wiki below. The request had nothing new or more-specific than the other messages the editor has written here. DMacks (talk) 05:20, 31 July 2022 (UTC)

- 1Veertje @Elcobbola: Yeah I understand taken pic only by me is an free also I've realized my mistakes and understand the Wikicommons policies and won't violate them in future, I'm really sorry. Please unblock me. STATZET (talk) 18:16, 30 July 2022 (UTC)
- DMacks @Elcobbola: Sorry I don't have any intention to spam people I've just emailed for to be unblocked and I'm explaining I've just wanted to help that articles to adding pictures and that time I wasn't read the policies all that I've just uploaded and I accept that was my myistake and now I've read all the Wikicommons policies and I'll not violate them on future. Thank you. STATZET (talk) 05:48, 31 July 2022 (UTC)
- @Elcobbola: Sir I've read and understand all the Wikicommons policies and about what is free license and what is not. I'll not violate them on future. STATZET (talk) 09:28, 1 August 2022 (UTC)
- Oppose - STATZET continues to ignore the core issue of license laundering and their deliberate attempt to deceive, which is telling. One does not create a laundering Flickr account after seeing their uploads deleted because they didn't understand that "that everything I find on the web that is copyrighted". Verily, exactly the opposite: they do it because they know the copyright exists, is not compatible, and must be manipulated. Note also their stated interest in creating a new account to circumvent the block, which only supports the notion(s) that they have no clue or respect for our policies. Эlcobbola talk 15:26, 3 August 2022 (UTC)
- Elcobbola As I said that I want to help the article to add image that time I thought Flickr was free that's why I uploaded through it in good faith, Let me explain you that I don't need and don't want to create another account I'm not sockpuppet & I'm happy with my this account and that time you were not replying to my request that's why I asked to a steward as an example that time and I were frustrated that's it. STATZET (talk) 18:13, 3 August 2022 (UTC)
- Note: Elcobbola As I can see you give final warning before block any user but you didn't gave me final warning before block me. STATZET (talk) 19:27, 3 August 2022 (UTC)
- Our requirement is to "ensure that the user has been appropriately warned". What I can see is "Warning: Wikimedia Commons takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing" (bold in original (!!!)), which appeared numerous times above before you cropped out watermarks and used Flickr to lie about authorship. That you offer this OTHERSTUFF nonsense seems a continuation of the shameless failure to acknowledge your misbehaviour.
- Note, further, that as you've continued to ignore 1Veertje's warning about using your talk page for spamming, I've removed your ability to edit it. This is, yet again, the same pattern as all of the above--IDHT and utter lack of competence and reflection. Эlcobbola talk 19:46, 3 August 2022 (UTC)
