Goodies, tips, and tricks

You can find the files you have uploaded in your Uploads.
Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~.
To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg.
You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account.
There are several tools to upload files.

Renommage photo gare Ste-Hélène-du-Lac

Bonjour Remontées,

Soit je n'ai pas compris la raison du renommage, soit je ne suis pas d'accord avec le fait que la gare était de l'autre côté du passage à niveau, c'est-à-dire au nord. On voit notamment encore l'abri voyageurs sur une photographie aérienne de 2000-2005 ici. De plus il semble probable que le bout de "route" à droite de la ligne conduisait à la gare, alors qu'au nord il y a des habitations. Exactement, j'ai l'impression que le PN coupait la gare, ce qui m'a totalement induit en erreur. Ça serait peut-être intéressant de le préciser dans l'article Wikipédia d'ailleurs.

C'est amusant, je suis également allé là-bas hier prendre des photos (que je viens d'uploader sur Commons) : les grands esprits se rencontrent !

Ok, merci pour ton retour. J'avoue que je n'avais pas fait attention au fait que le quai se prolongeait au nord du PN jusqu'à maintenant. Sinon si tu es passé à cet endroit hier aussi alors c'est étonnant ! Je viens de voir les photos, pour toi c'était le soir du coup. Dommage qu'il n'y ait plus rien à montrer de la gare sinon on aurait pu créer une galerie dans l'article. Par contre, je me dis que celle avec le panneau "baisser panto" pourrait avoir sa place sur l'article de la ligne. J'avais aussi pris une photo côté nord mais en la voyant je me suis dit qu'elle n'apportait rien de plus pour la ligne mais la tienne si du coup. Oui, c'est étonnant et ça m'a fait sourire de voir que tu avais créé la page de la gare le jour où j'y suis allé ! Exactement, j'y suis allé le soir en rentrant. Dommage effectivement qu'il y ait si peu de photos de l'ancienne gare, et en tout cas aucune sous licence libre compatible avec Wikipédia à ma connaissance.

Tu dois mieux connaître la ligne que moi : après ce panneau "baisser panto", il n'y a pas un autre panneau qui annonce la transition 25 kV/1500 V ? Il me semblait en avoir vu un depuis un train une fois.

We all can do errors, beginners and advanced alike and, when you don't know someone, it's not always easy to make the connection between different identities on the web. It's the rule to assume that the person in front of you has no ill will, a basic rule of Wikipedia, Commons and so on, it seemed to me. :( Sometimes I don't respect it out of anger, it happens to everyone, but coming from an administrator as experienced as you say you are, I'm rather surprised in a bad way. It's just sad.

Moreover, if you're not happy, you can go here to tell me this directly. I would have much preferred it to discovering it by chance. I'm sure we'll be able to discuss this and resolve the problem amicably.

Well I can understand but you know that one of the first rules of WP is to assume the good faith of the user. Then I think it's not better talking badly about people behind their backs without knowing their motivations beforehand. So exactly, we can both make mistakes, it's exactly what I said and why I don't appreciate your attitude at all and I think it's not a way of exchanging ideas in a relaxed setting.
