User talk:Realist2
Our first steps help file and our FAQ will help you a lot after registration. They explain how to customize the interface (for example the language), how to upload files and our basic licensing policy. You don't need technical skills in order to contribute here. Be bold contributing here and assume good faith for the intentions of others. This is a wiki ‒ it is really easy. More information is available at the Community Portal. You may ask questions at the Help desk, Village Pump or on IRC channel #wikimedia-commons (direct access). You can also contact an administrator on their talk page. If you have a specific copyright question, ask at Commons talk:Licensing. |

There seems to be a problem regarding the description and/or licensing of this particular file. It has been found that you've added in the image's description only a Template that's not a license and although it provides useful informations about the image, it's not a valid license. Could you please resolve this problem, adding the license in the image linked above? You can edit the description page and change the text. Uploading a new version of the file does not change the description of the file. This page may give you more hints on which license to choose. Thank you.

Re: Flickr upload bot
[edit]If you go to http://toolserver.org/~bryan/flickr/upload it will first ask you for your username and and the link to the Flickr image.
- In username you fill in Realist2
- In link to Flickr image you fill in http://www.flickr.com/photos/newrafael/225525283/in/set-72157594252531927/
Click on next. In the next screen several things are asked with regard to the image description.
- In filename you should come up with a short, concise name describing the image. For example Michael Jackson fans at his trial.jpg
- In description you should describe the image such that people who visit the image page know what the image is about. For example Fans of Michael Jackson supporting him at his trial. You can also write in more languages than in English.
- In the lowest category box you should add a category that covers the image well. For this image the obvious choise would be Michael Jackson.
Then click the next button. You will then be redirected back to Commons and an edit dialog will be shown. On Commons, click Save page. On the page that you just editted a green box will be shown. Click the click here link to finish your upload.
