File tagging File:Luisa-porritt (cropped).jpg
[edit]This media was probably deleted.
|
Thanks for uploading File:Luisa-porritt (cropped).jpg. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the {{No permission since}} tag with {{subst:PP}} on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.
Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own). The file probably has been deleted. If you sent a permission, try to send it again after 14 days. Do not re-upload. When the VRT-member processes your mail, the file can be undeleted. Additionally you can request undeletion here, providing a link to the File-page on Commons where it was uploaded ([[:File:Luisa-porritt (cropped).jpg]] ) and the above demanded information in your request. |

Please properly use the "source" field
[edit]
Hi Ralbegen, |
Who did the poll? (author) URL to the published data (source). Thank you.Senator2029 07:23, 11 July 2021 (UTC)
- @Senator2029: Thank for getting in touch! The data are opinion polls conducted by a lot of companies, as collated on the English Wikipedia page Opinion polling for the next United Kingdom general election. Previous graphs used on the page have used "own work" as the source without controversy, so I'm afraid I wasn't aware there was any other expectation. I'd be happy to update the source field, but could you advise me on how best to reflect the use of English Wikipedia as a source? I keep the graph up-to-date with data on there and I've shared the code there so that others can do so if I stop. I would also prefer not to update the source field with a new specific revision link to the page whenever I update the graph, which can be several times a week, if at all possible. People Polling 28/12
[edit]Hi Ralbegen,
Regarding your UK LOESS graph, I wanted to suggest that the People Polling outlier poll conducted on the 28th December is removed for the time being.
The LOESS obviously is struggling to weight it properly because of the 6 day separation. Because of this, I'm sure you're aware how much of an inaccurate picture this paints, and I've personally seen several social media posts misinterpreting the situation.
Once 1 or 2 more post-christmas polls are released, I'm sure it will fix itself but I think it might be best to remove it until those are released
Thanks, Quinnnnnby (talk) 18:18, 2 January 2023 (UTC)
Thank you

Thank you for your work with File:Opinion polling for the next United Kingdom general election after 2019 (LOESS).svg! I was looking at en:Opinion polling for the next United Kingdom general election and realized that the graph was working, in sharp contrast to, well, every other graph across Wikimedia. It is noticed and appreciated! Best, HouseBlaster (talk) 03:29, 6 July 2023 (UTC) |

Possible help on some graphs?
[edit]Hey, resident political nerd here, I was wondering if you needed / wanted some help updating or helping to manage some of the graphs you upload :D I've been pretty fascinated with politics (and stats / graphs) for a little while so I'd love to help if you wanted any! file rename request - File:Opinion polling for the next United Kingdom general election after 2019 (LOESS).svg
[edit]Hi, FYI there is an internal error that is preventing this file from being renamed. The issue has been reported and is being investigated. Hopefully it will be resolved quickly. Thanks for your patience. — ʷiḳỉℳẚṅ₫¡₳ (talk) 02:56, 14 June 2024 (UTC)
- No problem, thanks for letting me know! Ralbegen (talk) 11:33, 14 June 2024 (UTC)
- Hah, came here to say the same. Four attempts to move the file and all four failed. Odd. // sikander { talk } 🦖 17:40, 21 June 2024 (UTC)
Hi, I think there are too many versions. Maybe you can upload this separately? Possibly with a link to the other files? I don't think it is possible to rename it anymore. Grtz. - Inertia6084 (talk) (talk) 11:44, 23 June 2024 (UTC)
- PS I don't have a solution for the many links on Wikipedia. As long as the text on Wikipedia is right, it's maybe not such a problem that the filename is not completely correct. - Inertia6084 (talk) (talk) 11:46, 23 June 2024 (UTC)
Your 15:41, 23/06/2024 edit of
[edit]Hi there, I just wanted to highlight that John Curtice's average of the polls is different to yours in his summary this morning - Lab 40, Con 20, Ref 18. It appears he has included the JL Partners poll we were dicussing in his average. I notice you haven't included it in your table, hence your trend line is incorrect. I hope this information is helpful. Thanks in advance for updating the table - and for all your hard work on this WestminsterWhistleblower (talk) 15:46, 23 June 2024 (UTC)
- Same for this table 15:42 update - File:Opinion polling for the next United Kingdom general election after 2019 (LOESS).svg
- Please can you amend both. Many thanks, WestminsterWhistleblower (talk) 15:48, 23 June 2024 (UTC)

2021 Albanian parliamentary election
[edit]Hi Ralbegen, I hope this message finds you well :). I've noticed your expertise in creating graphs of opinion poll results, and I was wondering if you could help me with a specific request. Could you create a graph for the 2021 Albanian parliamentary elections? I believe it would enhance the understanding of the polling data presented in the article. Thank you in advance if you consider my request. Best regards! Iaof2017 (talk) 20:55, 4 November 2024 (UTC)
