Help request

[edit]

{{Helpme|en}}

I'm trying to follow the instructions at Help:SVG#Uploading_.26_categorizing...I didn't know about them before so I wasn't including a template like Template:Adobe Illustrator with my SVG uploads. So going forwards, I'm trying, but I make a lot of my images with LaTeX (specifically XeTeX and sometimes also with TikZ, table libraries, etc). I don't see one listed @ Category:SVG created with ... templates so I took Template:Created with Gnuplot, did find & replace and saved Template:Created with LaTeX. Well that didn't go well at all... I don't know how to fix it and I don't know if I can still upload my file that's all ready to be uploaded. I was going to add template options like |compiler (so Tex4HT, XeLaTeX, et cetera) also, but I would be happy with it just being fixed as a starting point. You should know I find this site (not really this site, but Wikipedia) really hard to use and never edited before the Visual Editor because of all the errors, so that's why I can't figure it out, when you made the Visual Editor you got stuck with people like me, oops Psiĥedelisto (talk) 09:36, 3 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I just changed the help me template so it'll remove you from Category:User needing help - en. It seems like you've figured it out. If you need to, you can use the help template again or say something on my talk page. Guanaco (talk) 14:30, 3 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The Random Acts of Kindness Barnstar
Thank you for making me welcome to Wikimedia Commons and for helping me out for the questions I asked. Pkbwcgs (talk) 15:22, 4 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

There is a problem with the file File:Hanja.svg. The critic of Libhye is valid. The first syllable is not the Korean Hanja but the Japanese Kanji. There can be slight variations between the signs of the countries of the Sinosphere. Apparently, the Korean and orig. Chinese are identical while the Japanese is a bit different. --Christian Bolz (talk) 20:20, 26 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Japanese
  • Korean
Thank you Christian140, I have uploaded a new version of File:Hanja.svg which has the correct
glyph. This mistake was made because even with the {{lang|ko}} template, both still unfortunately appear as
on my OS. I only reverted on enwiki because I did not understand what was wrong because Libhye did not explain in the edit summary. Psiĥedelisto (talk) 03:59, 27 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I see. I also first reverted it in the German wikipedia until she explained it and when I checked it, they were indeed a little different. Thanks for your effort. Then the .svg file can be used again without complaints. --Christian Bolz (talk) 08:46, 27 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Identifying examples on Numeral Systems graphic

[edit]

Psiĥedelisto, your graphic for the "numeral systems of the world" is great work. I offer you my compliments, and my thanks for your having made this most pleasing contribution to the Wiki-world. Also, I ask that you consider a suggestion: it would be helpful and edifying to many, if you were to identify the numeral systems which appear on the graphic. You could list them in the image Summary, just as you have listed the fonts you used to portray them. For example (I am conjecturing here, because I can't identify them, myself) you could specify that one line is "Arabic Numerals" and another is "Roman Numerals" and so forth. Thank you, for your attention. I wish the best, for you and yours. Catsmoke (talk) 18:55, 26 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Saluton Psiĥedelisto,

I've used your template at File:Albendazole metabolism (blank).svg with the parameter code=. Sadly the template closes the code block prematurily due to braces (}).

May you please investigate this?--Mrs. Stumblestone (talk) 11:19, 23 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Mrs. Stumblestone: Saluton. You must use <nowiki></nowiki> tags. See my File:Hanja.svg for an example. Psiĥedelisto (talk) 11:59, 23 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
